Any mobile networks that have the longest expiry? (Speakout is no longer 365 days/year, sadly).
My parents rarely use their phone, they do need calling/texting. No data. No voicemail.
I liked Speakout's old option of, you only need to top up once a year. But, sadly that is no longer available.
Is there anything similar to this out there? I don't know why they got rid of this option, why not offer your monthly plans AND once a year option for people who rarely use phones.
Are there any mobile plans that have a longer expiry? Also offer pay as you go/or pay per minute?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I was with Speakout for 13 years with a balance of $117.45. After I use up my balance at $19/month, I plan to go with Freedom Mobile $129/year talk/text + 20GB data. They have $99/year without data too. I'm going with Freedom Mobile because I know how to find a corporate store that will help get me set up instead of a dealer who's just interested in selling me something.
Chatr has $100/year 400 minutes Canada-wide Talk, 400 Canada-wide text
Koodo has $100/360 days
There's nothing close to $25 per year because companies aren't interested in someone who wants to pay so little each year. Pay as you go for crazy high prices like a few dollars/min would work for them but people would just complain about price gouging rates so why bother offering it.
