Hi Everyone,

I am a big believer in the old saying "you learn something new everyday". I was wondering if people would like to post their little "tidbits", "trivia", interesting facts about whatever blows your hair back.

My husband would love this thread. I call him "The Keeper of Useless Information". I keep telling him to go on Jeopardy and win us 100K. LOL

So today Winston posted on Dealsniffers thread about flower seeds. Her post was how she found Lufffa/Loofa seeds and will be making her own sponges/scrubbers. I had no clue and I actually though it was a gag but here is a link to the now famous Luffa gourds. Thank you Winston.

Every day I learn that I really DO suck at using English "expressions/sayings" LOL ... well, at least I amuse my hubby

it's still early so I haven't had much of a chance to learn something new today! LOL Here it's 9:30am right now. But I had no idea about the luffa thing either! It sort of made me go HUH? Yes I agree with the learn new things everyday thing too.

ok an hour later and I have something sort of! that Felix (cat) gets jealous when I give Lily (dog) a bath! Oh my is he ever jealous and he got his bath yesterday! Now he keeps doing his leap frog thing over Lily that he does when he is mad at her and she growls and it is funny to watch really. Usually I close the bathroom when I give each of them a bath but today I left the door open and he kept bugging poor Lily. He loves getting a bath too which is odd.

I also recently learned this- The vegetables that are grown in the largest quantities around the world are the tomato and the potato. But the most widely used vegetable is the onion
How's that for a not so useful fact! lol

Well, the most recent thing I learned is that Winston is a 'she' - I assumed male, duh.
For factual tidbits - Michaelangelo did 'secret' autopsies to learn more about the human body/form.

today i learned that you don't need to buy a scented candle to make your house smell like cinnamon.
oh no ...
instead, try breaking a bottle of FIREBALL on your nice countertop ...
oh and it will also set off your carbon monoxide detector

Bananas don't grow on trees. The banana "tree" is actually classified as an herb and the banana fruit is classified as a berry. Who knew?

So I was playing a "Useless Information Quiz" on Facebook and the question was.

Today I learned that when you are boosting your friends car you shouldn't really, sort of, accidentally hit the wrong pole because it gives off quite the fireworks display.
