Thread: Walmart SCOP - Vegetable Steamer
-
Wed, Feb 11th, 2009, 01:32 PM #1
I went to Walmart today to get a vegetable steamer and there was a nice Black and Decker one for $49.97. Right above it there was a second price tag for $39.97. I checked the UPC codes and, yup, it was a match so off to the cashier I went.
The item scanned at $49.97 and when I mentioned the price the casher asked "are you sure". I said yup and he just changed the price to $39.97. I almost payed and then I remember good old SmarkCanuks! I asked about SCOP and sure enough I got the "oh yeah, I forgot about that". So I ended up getting my Vegetable steamer for $29.97! Yippee! This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

I'm beginning to think that it might be a new policy of Walmarts NOT to offer SCOP unless requested.....either way, congradualtions on your excellent deal!

I don't think any store offers you the SCOP willingly does it? I have never had one store tell me about it.

This is true. I have been told by the CSM at Walmart that they are to adjust the price, and it's only free if the customer asks.
Also, I find that even if you ask for it to be free, half the cashiers look at you like you have three heads, and have no idea what you are talking about!
