Thread: Sassy Mam Bottles

When the media came out with this whole new BPA thing I immediately changed to the Sassy Mam which were BPA free. At the time you could not get these bottles in Canada so I had ordered them on ebay thinking they were the cutest thing and that they would be safe. I continue to use them but they are a total pain in the you know what. It features a bottom vent and an ultra soft, ergonomic shaped nipple. While the nipple features a silky texture, the vent allows baby to “strip” milk in the most natural way. The vent is supposed to mean less air, less gas, less spit up but did none of these for my daughter, she was spitting up after every bottle until almost 9 months. On top of that it's a pain to clean because instead of only worrying about taking apart the top and cleaning it properly you have to take apart the bottom vent as well. When putting them back together if you don't do so properly the next time you make a bottle LOOK OUT!!! it will be all over your counter and floor. They come in 4oz ($9.99 CAD)and 9oz (around $11.99 CAD) bottles and like I said I think they are cute (you can even get them with cute designs) but that is all the have going for them.
All in all these are quite expensive and not that great of a bottle. I would have def. gone with a glass bottle if I had to choose again so I'm rating this one 2/5 and they only get a 2 because their are so cute. This thread is currently associated with: EbayLast edited by WAKEFORSOUL; Wed, Mar 25th, 2009 at 08:20 PM.

These ones? If I ever had the money to spend 20$ on a bottle I'd buy these. They're just so cute.

BabiesRUs has ones that are $15 for the bottle and you can buy the skins separately for $9 but the colours are more like pastels not the bright colours in the other ones.

You might actually be able to find the ones I linked cheaper, Funky Monkey tends to be a little overpriced (best customer service ever though).
