I got a Shopper's hang tag in the Herald today. Coupons for milk, Tresemme, Crest toothpaste and $10 off $40. I won't use these coupons, and hate to waste the $10 off. Anyone interested?

Just came back from Lilac festival, there is a new Lindt Chocolate Store open at 14 Ave and 4 St, today they have everything 50% off and up (some 70% off but fast expiry) special for the lilac festival. The lineup is long though. But mmmmm.....chocolate
Please pm me if you have any coupons for the stampede, Edmonton watermark, Telus spark and zoo. I have a lot of family visiting in summer and am trying to plan it so I don't go broke! ;)
I noticed that on specially marked boxes of Coca Cola there are child's admission tickets on the box to the Calgary Stampede. This is the same offer as last year.
I have good news... Save on Foods will be opening 3 locations in calgary this summer and fall! I have heard there will be one around cranston and one at crossiron... i am not sure about the third.
Wow!! Where did you get this info from?? I'm thrilled :-)
LOL I went right to the source. For over 2 years they have been promising stores to get opened... so I went on their facebook page and said you guys have been saying you were going to open stores in Calgary for 2 years... when is one opening?
They said we are opening a total of 3 stores over the summer and fall. Yayyy! I am so excited about this.
Yeah new coupons in stores this week!!!
What is our Coupon insert schedule? Anyone have any ins for getting extra coupons in Calgary?
I know the next Red Plum is July 6th, when is the next Smart Source? What paper? etc
After a nasty separation where he is denying to pay Child Support - I am back at couponing and building my single mom stock pile.
The hearld is good for coupons... I don't know when though i just get them from my parents. We usually get the red plum on time or within a couple days of the mass releases. You can problably try the tetley tea and colgate and chapmans for your freebies. That is always a good place to start... there are the general mills cereal deals on save and there is a air freshener deal for cars for free from glade. If you take those freebies in on a 10% tuesday at sobeys you can use that 10% to help you buy other stuff.
I think there are some Calgarians that get together and trade... it is just hard for me to get to them so i have not been. I hope you find lots of coupons fast and easy!
I hope you all are safe tonight with the flood evacuations going on. Food for thought. Flooded areas sometimes have trouble getting the water supply clean enough and boil water orders could potentially be put in place. It is a good time to fill up camping jugs or a couple pots for drinking water.
I went coupon hunting yesterday and this is what i found. Please let me know if you found things i don't have so i know to watch for them!

I went to Sobey's Safeway and superstore. There are 3 different bick upc's that i found out there so keep your eyes peeled!
BTW i am on the save on foods fb page again requesting opening dates... they did do a interview with the herald the day after i posted the question about stores opening in calgary.... I guess what we say on FB pages does carry a bit of weight!
My Wonderful Mom always says... YOU ask them your not afraid! It is true... I can accept a no but not knowing bothers the heck out of me.
Ok i have a new update... I went to Co-op and they had a bunch more coupons not in other stores. This is what the last 2 days of coupon hunting have netted me.

The drugstores still do not have new coupons... in fact every shoppers i went to in the north east had coupons that expired June 30th.
Good luck and I hope you find some great stuff!
Cheekysaver, where did you get the milk coupons?
Thanks in advance.
If anyone wants cheap milk and eggs dated for a few days away I was just in Shoppers Drug Mart Westsprings on 85th St SW. They had milk 4 litre jugs with $3 off coupons( lots of different types of milk) and brown eggs for 49 cents per dozen-too bad I am stocked up.
Walmart @ Northland Mall has l'oreal ombrelle Sunscreen water proof lotion SPF 15 for $1, also has lady speedstick and Oldspice (men) deodorant for $1 too !
If you have not done the movie rebate from speedstick, now would be a good time, $2.10 gets u two deodorants and movie, can't go wrong.
I used to make yogurt with non electric yogurt maker with very good results.
It's a plastic container with a lid, that had an insert make out of styrofoam.
Seems to me that I heated the milk, added the culture from a package or just some from a previous batch, put it in the plastic bucket, put the lid on, then placed it in the styrofoam insert, covered it and let it "incubate" for the required time. I recall it to have a very good taste/flavor.
I think Cheekysaver, would be the expert here though.
Thanks Mission! I still lurk on here all the time but never post anymore. Life is so busy! How did you know the sunscreen was $1.00? It wasn't marked. I was able to get a few which was great! I couldn't find the deoderant though, they all said $2.50 or $3.00. I scanned a bunch but nothing came up. Thanks again! It is good to see the Calgary thread alive and well :-).
Thanks!
oh Making yogurt is easy. First you heat the milk to a simmer stirring so it doesn't scald... then you take it off the heat and you can cool the pot in a sink of water until it reaches 105 -120 f then you put in about a 1/4 Cup of plain yogurt for a starter and stir it in... then place the pot in the oven with the oven light on overnight and in the morning you have yogurt. You do need to use yogurt with live bacterial culture... and if you buy the ones with probiotics you are adding them in and making your own. Once you have made your own you can use your own as the next starter and you will never run out of yogurt as long as the milk is cheap.... oh and cover it with a pot lid before it goes in the oven... the less light the better!
Thanks for reminding me about the yogurt... I threw in a batch last night... it needs another hour or 2 but then I will have 2 liters of yogurt. Thank goodness too... I like it on my cheerios and there are so many cheerio deals right now i am going to be stocked up!
Thanks for the tips. I will have to try this.
Hey guys I need some help for others. I am on a website for people with Ehler-Danlos Syndrome... it is a support group for those in western canada on facebook... In Calgary we have one of the best geneticists on the planet for dealing with EDS and his name is Dr Yee. People are traveling from Sask and BC and everywhere in Alberta to see him. As you might suspect many are disable and on a tight budget. Can you give me some names of places in the North East that are affordable with decent food? Deals with coupons could be pretty ok too!
You would think I would know right?.... LOL i don't eat out... i am disable and we only eat out up to $20 a month here... that is rarely more then a snack meal to go.
When travelling I like to eat in the food court at the local mall. Most times the food is fresh and compared to a regular restaurant, it's affordable.
In the NE, Sunridge, Marlborough are both good. I especially like the ethnic food, as they tend to emphasize more veggies with meat rather than hamburger/fries.
LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!! *(singing) They are opening they are opening they are opening!!!!! YAYYY!!!
