    I'm just wondering if any of you people are manics for these kind of things.

    Animation is like Cars, TMNT, etc.
    Anime is like Gundam Series, Ghost in the Shell, etc.
    Comics are like The Sandman, Superman, Batman, etc.
    Mangas are like Full Metal Alchemist, Gundam Series, etc.

    The major difference of the types is that Anime and Manga are from Japan, and have a distinct style. However, animation and comics are from all over, and seem to copy each other. As well, Manga is read "backwards" from normal comics, from right to left, instead of left to right.

    My daughter is really into a magna comic called Death Note, she even watches the episodes of it on youtube as it was never released in Canada.. so i am familiar with it, allthough i dont know how she can read it backwards.. lol

    No need to snap....

    Anyway, there is several examples you can use. Cybersix, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed, Ghost in the Shell, etc. They are all animes.

    There are a few things I regret not watching, like Death Note. I had a chance to watch it all in Japanese with subs but I skipped it, opting for Bleach instead.

    I'm not a fan of Bleach anymore, so Death Note might be better.

    Normally I just download manga series from the web and read it nonstop.

    I watch it before I read it. Only case I haven't was Sandman, but that's because the film is coming out this or next year. Not sure which, but I'm seeing it in theaters.
