at my walmart they had alberto shampoo on clearance for 1.00

If you are in TO, the downtown stores (underground PATH) generally have good markdowns. I've been picking up shampoo, Olay bodywashes etc for the shelter. Yesterday I also picked up 24 Sidekick @$0.99 less $0.25 coupons - for the food bank!
I got 3 boxes of Elastoplast (bandaids) @$0.35 each (marked down $1.35 less $1 coupon).

There are quite a few SDM in the PATH area! Which one did you go to? Any shampoo/conditioners on sale?

My Shoppers is usually bad for discounting, but I found the Olay Mousse Cleanser (which is on the $5 shelf in the pic) for $4 each. Use the Olay coupon and got the three of them for $2 plus tax.

The ones that I check frequently is the SDM at TD Centre (across from European Jewellery) - it will be on your left if you are heading towards the Royal Bank Plaza. They have a full shelf plus a rack for clearance stuffs. At lunch today, I still saw some Herbal Essence, Olay, Alberto, Dove, Garnier etc. I was able to pick up quite a few boxes (as many as I have coupons at hand) of the Catelli Pasta - marked down to $1.49 less $0.50 coupons ($1 WUB2) - for the food bank and Dove shampoo for my shelter stash.

I found a few good stuffs at BCE Place as well, although not very consistent (when they have it, they have it real good!). The other one I tend to drift to (because I need to mail all those trades + trains ) is at Royal Bank Plaza (just before the entry towards Union Station).

If you see a woman staring at the clearance rack with a stack of coupons in her hands, do say hello.

I was eating out near the newest Shoppers (not been opened long) and decided to take a look. Wow the store is huge and the beauty/makeup area is really set up to feature the high end products and it has the best selection in the city.

I scooted around to get a sense of what they had not expecting to see any clearance.

I spotted Life brand bar soap, 3 to a pack, marked down from $1.29 each to $0.25 so I picked up 8 packages for my stash from the shelter.

Like Tripsplanner I needed to use the post office and spotted another discount rack that $1 shelf, $2, $5 and $10. Had a range of stuff - some like the one in the photo.
