Try the Bay or Sears . Although I have found a few (3-4) flat irons at Winners. VERY small selection, but there are some.
Good luck finding a flat iron, check out a salon if you want to.

Did you cry after seeing that at Winners for $35? I'm one of those stupid people who comparison shops before purchase, but crazily does so AFTERWARDS too just to frustrate myself!

Is the cortex really comparable to the chi flat iron? I see them at winners all the time for cheap.

Did you try sally beauty supply? I don't know if they sell those brands but they do have a selection of flat irons.

I absolutely think so. Like I said, I'm in a house full of black hair (kinky, curly, sometimes plain nappy) and the Cortex outdoes CHI hands down.

I was really skeptical, but there was someone who posted a review on another forum along with before and after pics of her daughter and the results were amazing.

at least its gonna be better than the conair ones i bought from shoppers years ago.....

Ooh, forgot to mention. My mall has a beauty supply outlet and it sells salon products, Bedhead, Chi, & stuff. Check their site for store locations. Good luck!
