My sister got her G2 today!!! Go her!!!

Your thoughts on the graduated lisencing system in Ontario...

did you go through G1, G2 and G...or was it the 356 for you?

How about young drivers, or other driving programs? Would you want your children to take driving lessons, or would you teach?

I got my license before the graduated thing, so just a 365 for me. I did drivers Ed through the school. My dad tried different times to teach me to drive a stick, then one day he told me he was going out of town for two weeks and I need to learn if I was going to go to school and work. He took me to a hill that backed into the Ottawa River and parked the car on the hill, got out and said you'll either go up or end up in the river. BTW his car was only 3 weeks old. Well I did not put it in the river and have been able to drive a stick since.

I will probubly teach my kids to drive, but they will go through drivers ed too, helps with the insurance.

Manitoba brought in the graduated licencing after my kids had licences...they did however take drivers ed and I also took them out a lot.
I think drivers ed is a good thing..but parents need to spend the extra time in the car w/ the kids too as they need the experience.
I do think the graduated licence is a good thing though...

I have my G1. I never took drivers training, and I have no car to practice in, and I got my license when I was 16 and I'm 20 now, so my license is gonna expire soon.

I took driving classes afterschool during grade 11 of highschool... eventually got my G on halloween of 2002!
I remember that day clearly because the examiner was telling me to look at the houses with all the halloween decorations, and I was fully going "um, is this a trick to fail me?" so i just kept my eyes on the road. lol
