Does anyone know of a good deal for a Mac? My daughter wants one for school. Thanks!

I know there is a minimal discount (10% I think?) for students through the website.
I have never purchased a refurbished laptop from the Apple Canada site, but I did purchase a refurbished Ipod and it is still going strong three years later and they had a very good guarantee with it at the time.
You might want to check out the refurbished prices on the Apple site.

Best thing to do for a mac laptop/desktop is sign up for Apple Student Developer it costs $100 or more to sign up (cost my friend ~$150, Apple needed the school to fax over some papers.. proof of enrollment )
You do need a valid student card, however if you're planning on buying a 13inch Macbook it's not worth paying for the membership you'd save more buying refurbished or with the school discount. Biggest savings is on the Macbook pro roughly $500 minus the $100ish spent on membership so it's still about it's about $400 off...
