:lolsign: I was making my list today, trying to get as close to $30 as humanly possible and no matter what I did I kept ending up $0.06 short. Stupid prices ending in $.99 kept scr*wing me over. I'll have to buy a pack of gum or something to make up the difference. No neg rep for you, I blame Shoppers for refusing to round up the extra penny. Let me know how it goes tomorrow.

to add to the stupidity, i took a chocolate bar to the cash just in case i didn't quite have $30. i asked how much i was at pre-chocolate bar and it was $34ish. not really thinking, i thought i was at the $30 mark and didn't get the chocolate.

I waited as long as I could Sunday, for a message,but had to leave. Here's how my shopping went.

First I pulled a gift card out of my wallet and had the clerk add $200 to it (I usually recharge the same one over and over instead of getting a new one each time). OF course I had to tell her how to do that, as most don't know. :lol: There's a PLU right on the back of the card. Anyhow, got 2000 points from that transaction, and apparently that got me qualified for Optimum Plus for next year!

Then I made my purchase of $31.24 before taxes, added on $162 in bus passes (which don't earn any points and don't count for promotions like this), paid with my gift card. Earned another 310 points, and I have a gift card with $3.63 remaining. :excited:

You know, I could never get the cashiers to add to my gc.
I've tried 3x! There's this old one who flatly told me "NO" when I asked her to do it and said I had to buy what's available.

That's BS. The instructions are right on the back of the frickin' card!

Sometimes when I tell them how, they nod and smile, and print off a help menu from their register. I tell them that using that method will not work. They nod and smile, and carry on trying it that way. The register then spits out an error, "Card Already Issued" or something like that. I smile and politely point out the PLU on the back of the card AGAIN. :tongue:
