Nice. Will have to look today on my trip. My mom always needs face cloths and towels.

Oh thanks, I will pick some up to add to my lot for donating to the womens shelter

Like Z said, animal shelters can really use your old towels. We recently did a rescue from another shelter and the cats were sitting on the cage floor because the shelter doesn't have towels and they are really uncomfortable sitting and moving around on stainless steel. Makes me realise how good our shelter has it because we have people that make our cats real beds with fleecy material and fleecy pads to sit on when just twenty minutes away, they are struggling for food and towels (we shared of course - took some cats so they didn't have to euthanise and gave them food and towels)

I went to 2 Zellers today and could not find them. Which brand are they? There were so many towels that I wasn't sure which kind I was looking for.

Thanks Zonny - Its be kind to everyone day every day, not just for a week/year alloted to that cause. I live in Edmonton, and there are so many places that love to take stuff to recycle and put to good use. And new towels would be a real luxury when you are sad and sometimes have nowhere to go. Just makes someone's day go that much better. We can all be a shining star in someone else's life. Go Smartcanuckers!

I went to Zellers in Richmond BC today. They have lots of it. However, the cashier said the 70% only apply to bathroom ACCESSORIES not including towels......

I will make sure to provide a bit more detail in subsequent postings. The extra 70% off sale was for selected towels (anything with blue or yellow tickets). The sale was advertised in the (Ontario) flyer under "bath accessories" which is why I didn't pay any attention to to the advertisement. Essentially I stumbled across the sale during a brief visit to Zellers. The sales associate confirmed that the sale also applied to the clearance towels. Apparently some stores are trying to clear out old stock which is probably why there is such a discrepancy between stores. The "advertised sale" ends tomorrow, so I don't know know how much/what is left. Good luck!
