Jason has requested sausages on a bun tonight, so I guess that's what we're having. I get to choose whether it's smoked sausage or not, and it all depends what appeals to me at the grocery store.

Chicken and Rice
Tonight we had Spicy mock chick'n Boca Burgers on whole wheat buns with fresh local tomatoes. On the side were cut up celery and local "out of the garden this morning" carrots. I also made a potato salad with local potatoes and a lemon/dill dressing with green onions and a few mock bacon bits on top. It was yummy if I do say so myself :)

Corn again, can't get enough of that Quebec corn and veggie wraps with field tomatoes, romaine and feta. Yum! I don't know how the tomatoes can be ready already because all of my Italien friends are cursing this weather, none of them have tomatoes yet in their gardens.
spinach and cheese quiche with roasted vegetables (potatos, onions, garlic, zucchini)
leftover pork tenderloin, with pasta & sauce, and organic mixed greens salad.
Yummers! Those meals all sound great! I roasted chicken breasts with a melange of potatoes and veggies - made six big breasts to have lots leftover for son for sammies for lunches.
This was the first time in 20 years I served my husband only white meat - he's a dark meat kinda guy. He looked twice through the kitchen, saw that was all there was, and then took one with his meal. After when I mentioned it, he said of course it was good, but I could have mixed some dark pieces in there. Oh, but this was fresh chicken breasts so they are good this way, I said - ah, he said, but still....
I finished it by telling him that there have been zillions of times I've made only dark meat - like all the times legs/backs are on sale - and I've muddled through though it's not my fave. Hmm, was his response.... lol!
He's not a picky guy, he eats everything I make pretty much - even veggies! And even the disasters through the years....
We buy boneless skinless chicken breast on sale, cook several at a time in the oven in a covered dish, then freeze them in individual zip loc bags for future easy meals.
We had Japanese take out today: beef stir fry over noodles with lots of broccoli and it was deeeelightful!
Rodeo weekend...hot, muggy, crowded...had to have a corndog. And it was gooood. (So were the cotton candy, popcorn, and mini donuts!!) :)
Mmmmm mini doughnuts:P.
We had turkey burgers stuffed with diced red onions, greek seasoning, and feta and done on the bbq. BBQ roasted Chiliwack corn on the cobb(got a great deal on these:)) and a shredded salad on the side.
The burgers were shaped like rectangles so that they fit perfectly into the Snuggies(which are a cross between a pita and a hot dog bun). Not too much bread so you could really taste the meat:):):)
Ha, I'm wimping out tonight - chicken fingers, fries, and salad.
We had Paella tonight...pretty tasty too.
FYI - Paella is a Spanish rice dish
yummm Paella.
My grandma makes the BEST paella ever
Lazy night here-we ordered Swiss Chalet- I had the new tomato and cucmber salad....was refreshing!
OMG...DH's family reunion today (he couldn't go, but I took the boys), deep-fried turkey...*drool*. It was amazing, and what might have been the best macaroni salad I have ever had. Yup...pretty darn good! And the first cool day in like 3 weeks!!
Home-made...chicken breast mushroom sauce over egg noodles.

and making potatoes on the side
Paella has always sounded and looked so wonderful to me. If any of you has a tried-and-true recipe (not too hard, either, lol) please share.
This evening, we are having baked pork steak, roasted potatoes, macaroni salad, and corn on the cob. Oh, and I'll cook some cauliflower for myself, no one else likes it cooked, but husband and son like it raw. All week I've been craving, and having, cooked cauliflower - don't know why...
homemade spaghetti mmmmmmmm
ugh yeah I suffer from vertigo and all of the sudden the whole room went black and I thought "oh crap" and downnn I went LOL but it was more just falling over from being dizzy ... I can laugh about it now cuz my DH was about a foot away from me at the time and helped me back up, but yeah ... not good.
yum that was deeelicious! and more importantly my 5 year old loved it!
