hubby's bday today so we went to one of our absolute fav places. a dive of a place in a super dive of a crappy little plaza in toronto.
dinner was a little cup of broth/soup to start. dinner was yummy rice with strips of grilled chicken, and beef short ribs. they give you a basic salad plate and a pitcher of grapefruit juice and a pitcher of mango juice and a banana for each person. it's quite different but it's fun :)
sorry the only homemade part of it was desert, tiramisu ;p
that sounds cool.sometimes dives are overlooked but have the best food.there was a place in edmonton,blink and you miss it,but they had the best spring rolls and the best sticky rice...

beef and barley soup last night....dont ya just love making and freezing a giant batch of something? nothing better than just picking a homemade meal out of the freezer and enjoying it again and again :)
