I cooked up a warehouse pack of ground beef that I turned into meatballs. I froze most of them for easy meals down the road. Used some of the meatballs in a mushroom sauce with no yolk noodles.

Last night I made homemade soup, enough left for lunch today - beans, onions, cabbage, carrots, using Vegeta as the base and some tomato soup. Served with egg salad on kaiser buns.
Another early morning cook off here! PattySmyth don't read any of what I made ( HUGE FAIL on anything vegetarian) as I was trying to use stuff up and make freezer space.
So there are containers all filled and marked in the fridge for everyone to just grab what they want during this week.

sauteed very thin sliced chicken breasts simmered in a No salt garlic steak sauce ( DD and I )

I made roast chicken, rice, and veggies served with a slice of pumpernickel. Spinach salad on the side.
lunch will be boiled eggs and hashbrowns with fried onions. I have no idea about supper because I will be on a set filming this afternoon until late, so hopefully they feed us otherwise I'm going to be having a very late supper around midnight LOL!
Two weeks ago Dr. Oz shared a recipe for home made energy bars. I tried it and they have the consistency of cookie dough, which is great!
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup peanutbutter
3 Tb honey
1 tsp vanilla
tart cherries (I don't have any so I used semi-sweet chocolate chips instead)
Stir all of the ingredients together. Press into a small pan and place in the fridge. Cut up into squares. I admittedly ate it with a fork after. It is really good, slightly indulgent, but so much better for a person than actual cookie dough.

Grilled strip loin steak sandwich with balamic caramelized onions (sour cream and shredded lettuce)
on a toasted wholegrain bun from Costco. I love their breads. 18 for less than $6!
I made a tomato soup from scratch- cheated a bit and used Almer Accents (red chili).
It had a nice heat to it and was effortless to make. :-)
