So, finally went and used my FPC for the Kashi on the weekend. I selected the cherry dark chocolate and just ate one for the first time.
I'm hardly a health nut, but I do try to make healthy choices for my family. But the healthy choices also have to be economical, and they have to taste good.
It met the economical criteria only because I had the FPC. My local Sobeys was selling these for $3.99 for a box of six, which is a bit less than twice the price of many other granola bars. I've never seen these on sale either. I would never pay .66 each for a granola bar.
The cherry dark chocolate variety at least, also failed the tasting good criteria. They weren't vile enough to make me spit it out, but the cherry flavour was not what I expected, it was sour. Over, it was certainly way below my standard of yummy. I ate the whole thing, but only because I was really hungry!
I rate these about a 4 out of 10.

Totally agree, that was my impression of them as well...also a little "dry" - maybe my box was old?

I must be the only one on the planet that likes this flavor. LOL
Mine weren't dry at all, nice and moist. I love the bits of dark chocolate mixed with the cherry flavor.
Send them all my way girls .... I'll take care of them for you!

We liked the Peanut Peanut Butter. I think it's the best!

Our little IGA store doesn't have a big selection, but I got 2 boxes of the Kashi chewy bars with whole grains and Almonds. I appreciate the 4 grms of fiber. I've actually gotten to like them..... but of course it wouldn't be fair to compare them to those Quaker brand bars that are loaded with sugar and chocolate and sugar and sugar....

We really like these. The Peanut butter ones are kinda dry but the others are YUMMY.

These are definitely a yummy snack! The chocolate and cherry is my favourite kind.
I also like the peanut butter one. It can tast ea bit dry but that doesn't bother me much. I think they are delicious.
Now the price is a little high so I doubt I will be buying these up but for a free box no way I can complain. Mmm!
