My First Trip Out

Well it's official I made my first trip out with nothing other then coupons and clearances on my mind. My first trip was Zellers. Young girl on cash that would have fainted if I stuck her with a bnch of coupons so being a newbie I didn't bother with coupon shopping there other the the shaving cream, (it was close to closing only cash opened). Zellers rundown:

• 3 pack lice combs 1.59 x2 = 3.18 reg: 3.99each
• Panty Liners .49 x2 = .98 reg:1.99 each
• Hairspray .89 reg: 2.97
• Poop bags .75 x2 reg: 2.00 each
• Bakers dozen gift bags 2.00 x2 reg: ?
• Shaving cream made .03 reg: 3.46 sale: 1.97 used 2 off coupon

Grand Total: $12.07 after taxes saved $10.32 plus some taxes and whatever savings for gift bags.

Wal-Mart Rundown:

• Glade Air freshener $1 x2 = $2 used coupon $2 off = FREE
• Glade Candles 3.87 x2 = $7.74 used coupon x2 $4 off = FREE
• Glade Ultra $1 x2 = $2 used $2 off = FREE
• Scrubbing bubbles 3.47 x2 = 6.94 used coupon x2 $3 off = .94
• Mr.Clean 1.2 L cleaner plus Bonus650 ml spray $3.53 individually $5.53 saved $2 (walmarts $2 right now on the sprays)
• Bra $5 reg $12.96 saved $7.96
• Bra $10 reg $17 saved $7
• Non sale item sandwich bags $1.98

Grand Total: $25.04 after taxes. Saved: $31.11 plus some taxes.
Not to shabby for first time.

well done! Always makes you feel good when you're able to get stuff you need cheaper or free with coupons! I gave some to someone the other day at SDM she was so surprised...I don't think she had ever coupons before cause she didn't have clue what to do with them

LoL thats too funny, I am trying to help my mom and she is the thriftiest person I have ever known but coupon shopping this way is foreign to her.
