ExpiredHi
I was wondering how long it is polite to wait for a reply when you offer someone a trade? I have good coupons *pending*, how long should I wait before offering them to someone else? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. This thread is currently associated with: N/AWin daily prizes worth $150 to $10000sign up here!! I've won 3x $150 GCs since Jan.2012

It would really be a lot easier if someone just replied and said no thank you

I usually will give a week. Not everyone checks in everyday (lately, myself included).

I would say after 48 hours I would send another PM. If 24 hours passed after that PM and still no response I would put the coupons back up for trade.
However, if it was the weekend or a holiday in between the first PM I may give an extra day or two.

If they want it, they should reply pretty fast. You snooze you lose.
I should get into swapping/giving away coupons, I hardly use a lot of them.

I agree with 48hrs.If you are trying to make a trade with someone you should be checking for a reply. If life gets in the way, it is your loss. The other person might miss out on another trade in the mean time.I hate it when people can't even be bothered to reply no thanks.I am not hurt if my offer wasn't any good to them but I would like to know.I just started one on one trading a few weeks ago and already there has been two people who never replied?? I will remember this and maybe in the future chose not to trade with them. There loss!!

Agreed! I will PM after 24 hrs. Then 24 hrs after that I will put them back up for trade.
It would be really great if everyone would just reply, even if just to let the person know they are not interested in trading. That way no one is left waiting. And there would be no hard feelings.

I agree, I find it really annoying that when you pm someone concerning a trade. They do not reply back even if to say No, thanks.
Its not that my feelings are hurt but just out of courtesy and proper etiquette I would expect another human being to reply back even with a simple NO.

I normally check to see if they've logged on since I sent the trade offer. If yes and they haven't gotten back to me with 2 days, then I consider that a "no"... After that I take out my special black book and blacklist them forever MAUAHAHAHHA.... Oops... Did I say that out loud? lol

always send a reminder PM, some of us get lost in PM's or forget, I do that a lot (sorry everyone) and usually will trade, but I get behind. So send a PM just in case, if they don't respond, to bad so sad

I seem to have the opposite problem. Wanting coupons and the person replying once but then not replying back or taking days to get back to me when I know they have been online.
