10 Month Expired Milk From Nestle

Let this be a lesson to us all when shopping at convenience stores, gas stations and such to check expiry dates on products that can expiry. Makes me sick to think about what you went through, just awful!!!!! Hope you and your baby are ok, I agree that you should go get checked out, you just never know.

Ulchhh...Can't even began to think of how terrible that must've tasted. I would certainly talk to the store manager. There is no need for an employee to talk that way, especially when it's a legitimate concern. Although it's not Nestle's fault, contacting them might not hurt. Stores selling their brands past expiry can tarnish their name.

After I noticed the Subway restaurant near my house was selling milk that was 2 months old, I looked into whether it was legal or not & from what I found out it's OK to sell expired products. (If it's not true, let me know).

I told them the milk was all expired. The next time I came in I noticed that the milk was with the expiry dates facing backwards instead of frontwards, I checked a carton just to see & it had the same expiry date.

I sent corporate an email just to let them know, but never received a reply.

i'm sure you'll be checking expiry dates on EVERYTHING from now on.

even when shopping in the big, very busy grocery store i go to, i check every bag, box and can's expiry. it's a shame to pay good money and have it wasted cause these stores are careless.

The small restaurant at the bottom of my work does this. I think I was the only one buying milk since most people just go there for coffee. I was pulling out the expires and telling them about them, then they started turning them all around.

I just went to the grocery store and bought a two litre which I keep in the fridge at the office now. More economical too.

Sorry to hear about that, you must have felt awful.

In Toronto we have an inspection system - all the restaurants and convenience stores that serve / sell food have to have a rating posted "conspicuously" so people can tell if they've passed or not.

If Calgary has something similar, get in touch with the City and tell them your story. The fines (here anyway) are substantial...as my grandfather used to say, "That'll learn 'em!".

The employees from the store should be fired. It's their fault not Nestle's fault. They should had check stocks and discarded any expired ones... espically 10 months ago...

I never check them. I (apparently mistakenly) figure people have been trained about FIFO (First In, First Out) and would be cleaning their fridges more than biennially.
