There were times that I want to use more than 1 coupons but don't want the hassle of them having to call the manager over for an override. For example, in Loblaws and No Frills, if the coupons amount more than $10.00, a manager has to come over to key in a code to enable the transaction. (Sometimes a senior cashier may have that code as well). Does anyone know about the max amount for the following stores:
Zellers
Food Basics
Price Chopper
Metro
Walmart
Canadian Tire

To get around this (if it is not tied into some promotion needing x amount of dollars to qualify), I just have them divide my purchases into two piles. I dislike the hassle of waiting for overrides.
Good thread idea!

Not sure if a "manager's override" is needed in these cases, I remember when I was a cashier the seasoned cashiers had their own overrides, so if someone needed over-riding you'd just ask them. Like a return needed an override, removing more than $10 worth of stuff from an order, adjusting a price above $10 etc.

But if we know what the other stores max (or no limit) is we can divide them to a much bigger pile or not have to divide at all.
