So the other night on the way to take the kids to watch airplanes at the airport we stopped at Mcdonalds to get coffee.
We ordered two mediums, one with three cream three sugar...the other with three sugar 1 milk.
What we got was large with no cream and what tasted like 1 sugar and a medium that looked like it was all cream and no coffee with no sugar.
So I go back in, they try and fix it. This time they give us two mediums but no sugar and the coffee is cold.
So we go back in, this time she rolls her eyes and tells me the sugar is over there (where the condiments are) I tell her the coffee is cold. She makes fresh coffee....not into the pot...but right into our cups!!!
We were going to be late picking up my husband (we didn't even make it to the airport) so I took them to a Mcdonalds closer to his work. I go in and explain that our coffees were made wrong....Now the guy helping me is a manager and this is what he says "Besides it being Mcdonalds coffee, what else is wrong with it?"
I tried looking for an e-mail but couldn't find one...so today they are getting a nice phonecall from me.....All I wanted was my coffee! This thread is currently associated with: McDonald's

My husband just got home from work and McDonalds dumped a coffee all down the inside of the car when passing it to him...not to mention on my husbands lap!
They were so rude that I called them after he told me what they said cause I couldn't believe they would be so rude. They agreed to pay for the cleaning of the car, after I got it done, bring in the receipt and have them contact the cleaning place to confirm that I only had the coffee cleaned up nothing else! Too top it all off I called head office and they told me too bad it's up to the store how they handle this. I'm worried I'm going to spend $150 getting the car cleaned then go in and they offer me $25!!! Or worse McD's gift cards!!
I would really like them to pay the car cleaning company directly!!
To top it all off they still charged him for the coffee!!!!

Usually McDonald's can sell you a quick, fresh cup of coffee the way you like it for a great price but yah, sometimes it just goes all sideways and you think "Why is this so difficult?!!". And you're torn between just walking away and saying "Whatever..." or taking the time to stand your ground and demand good service just on principle.
And of course, the moment you sense something is not going right you have to start to take note of the details if you ever hope to have a complaint listened to. The time of day, the name of the staff person or manager, the store location etc etc. It's like waiting for an elevator that's not coming, do you bail out soon and go for the exit or do you stick it out to get what you were expecting.
McDonald's should have consistent quality of product and service no matter where you go so it's not unreasonable to expect that, even if it's just a cup of coffee. That's what they like to brag about.
So, I hear ya monkeymommy, I hear ya.

I find it's a hit and a miss with fast food joints.. Even more so when I'm in the city.. They hire whoever they can get [at any fast food joint I mean].. There's little training and little supervision.
My dad had to go back into mcdonalds 3 times to get his chicken wrap done right.. The first time the chicken was PINK and cold, the second time he recieved just a wrap folded up with nothing in it.. the third time they gave him the wrap properly but he filled out a 3 notecarded complaint and recieved a $5 off coupon for his next visit.. at that mcdonalds only..psh we never went back there ever [it's been 2 years]
I mean I can understand the coffee bit.. People want it different ways.. sometimes they talk fast and you can't catch it.. but you should relay it back so you have it right.. so it shouldn't be rocket science. I'd be so humiliated if I gave a customer something they didnt order or a cold item.. I'd expect my ass to be grass if I did it.
Don't bother with e-mailing a complain.. I sent a complaint to campbell's because I chomped on a metal piece that was in their chunky soup and they sent me an e-mail thanking me for enjoying their product and that I was put on a list for updates and coupons they'd be giving out "real soon" pft.
I find yelling at the company over the phone much more satisfying!

i used to drink Mcdonalds coffee every other mornings (i have a McDonalds right infront of my house) but ive noticed lately that they dont know how to make coffee.. i always have to add sugar or cream to it. a few weeks ago was the last time i had a coffee from there.. i dont know if they put something in the coffee or what.. but no less then 20 mins after i drank it.. myself and hubby had real bad diarea from it...(good thing we have 2 bathrooms in the house
)
we have not had a coffee from mcdonalds since then.. i would rather walk the extra 3 minutes to the tim hortons.

WOW!

I once thought mcdonalds had the grossiest coffee possible, but it's gotten a lot better now. I find I get the best service at mcdonalds in the mornings during the week, it's all old people there, they are slow, but very very nice and accurate.
Btw, I love in your signature, so cute.

I much prefer McD's coffee over Tim Horton's. I don't know what happened with Tim Horton's, but their coffee tastes a lot different these days.

My teen works at McD for a month now and she always tell me that the cream machine is a bit wack at her place.

Mcdonald coffee is not bad with the new coffee. If you don't trust the worker, just ask for it on the side
