What would they be?
All the sites listed in this forum sound interesting. However, if one only had the time and inclination to join one each (one survey site and one mystery shopping agency), which ones would they be?
Also, I gather that many people join multiple sites. Don't some sites/companies have a restriction saying you cannot be a member of any other market research panel?

Personally so far and I'm a member of 7 survey site Global Test Market has been the most "profitable" at the rate I'm going right now(getting 2-4 invatations a week lately) I may get over $200-250 this year. You need at least $50 to cash out, but it pays U.S.$ so you get the exchange rate also! Just started Pinecone which most people have good things to say about it. I find some of the other ones (survey lion, lightspeed, opinion outpost, survey spot) that the rewards/incentives are low and do not get alot of invites. End up getting cheques for $2-3-5.

Hmm it's hard to say survey I would probably go with Global test market because I get the most surveys and products to test from them.
Mystery shopping is hard because I have become a little addicted to mystery shopping much like this site and belong to about 30 companies.
so i'll say that SQM has a lot of shops and are good with paying.
Gapbusters is good if you like a certain very popular fast food restaurant.
(P.S they pay 60$+ food costs if you live in Thompson for some shops)
and Sensus has nice sit down restaurants with 80-100$ free meals.
I have been eating out a lot lately as you can imagine.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm interested in doing some mystery shopping (for a few years now! I guess I haven't qualified in the past) and will do some research (using this site, probably) on the various companies.
Keep the comments coming!

I haven't had any luck with the survey sites I belong too. I keep getting surveys that I don't qualify for. My favorite online money sites right now are TNICC http://www.tnicc-online.com/?ref=1852 and mylot http://mylot.com/maybebaby. They seem to be the steadiest way of making some extra money online.

Survey site: survey savvy
I don't do mystery shopping as i live in a little town that doesn't have tooo much shops to offer and have to travel to shop elsewhere...
but survey savvy pays and you get $1 - $2 for each survey your referrals take. If you don't qualify for surveys you get entered into contests to win prizes.... I've been paid a few times from them this year, over $200 total so far....
LOL, i used to be excited about receiving the US$ checks but now we're par........
