There is a glitch with the 2002 and 2001 coupon codes....
IF you have FPC's and the cashier uses the 2002 coupon code, I believe usually the computer will just give you the points if you spend over the certain amount.
However, if you just have $1.00 off or $5.00 coupons and 2001 is used, those won't count to your entire purchase.
There is always cheats and ways around things....LOL"I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve meat my best." - Marilyn Monroe

The 2002 code won't give any points. It's the 2001 code that works and WILL count towards your total (there are countless threads on this forum and others about this very topic). But, you shouldn't put FPCs as 2001 'cause the store administrators tend to get very annoyed (something to do with charging taxes on things that shouldn't be taxed).

I don't really pay attention to what code cashiers are using. I am just inquiring about how much you have to spend, having to pay the remainder that you spend from coupons makes a difference, so if I can use coupons and still get the 15K points, it's a deal. I can easily spend $75, but if I know that I don't have to, and can supplement it with coupons, it's a better deal. And it's still not clear to me.

The ONLY time I've ever seen it where you absolutely 100% have to spend the minimum amount AFTER coupons is the referral promos.
Say, for some strange reason, not all the stores have the promos entered into the main system properly, worse case, you try it out and don't get the points. Then ask for a void and get your money back.

This makes me so mad.. my local SDM only allows ONE coupon per transaction.. like what the frig!
Plus they never have sale stickers on products that are on sale on the flyer.. will the sale still apply then? If so then I should be able to use SCOP right if it rings up to be the reg. price.

OMG, I had the nicest cashier at my local SDM, its the 2nd time that she served me and she is just sooooo wonderful, she let me used all my coupons without any troubles. I was able to use my Glade $4 off coupons on the tin (I mean it makes sense, the tin is a holder and they are refillable). She was sooooo nice I decided to give her a couple of coupons and one to her associate. I even told her about Smart Canucks website to save money and get freebies. Its people like her who makes me want to come back and shop at the store more even when I don't have the coupons...I hope she keeps up the good work, and I hope I will get her as my cashier all the time. ^_^

Needless to say, I spent over $100 after tax today at SDM. I find it really easy to spend $75, especially when I want to get cosmetics. Should I be spending that much? No not at all!

Question for the OP, is it true that cosmetics (some SDM's have a separate cosmetics side that has Benefit, Lise Waiter, Bare minerals, and other brands) have to be paid for in the cosmetics section only? Or do the makeup girls do this to gain commission for themselves? I had this happen today, I walked out of the cosmetics section with a couple of benefit products because I wanted to browse the rest of the store, and one of the SA's came after me like I had stolen something!

So are you saying you can use more than one coupon per item at SDM? Or is this up to the discretion of the cashier?

I worked in cosmetics, so I can answer that. If it's a boutique store, then yes, you pay on the cosmetics side. For regular stores, you don't *have* to, but there's a few reasons why it's preferred. One - cosmetics are high theft items, two - commission (sounds good, but isn't a whole lot to be honest), 3 - quotas (at the stores I've worked in, cosmetics rang through by cosmeticians had to be at least 50% or we weren't doing our jobs).

Thanks for answering that for me. That is a perfect answer.
One coupon per transaction is gay. That just means your cashier is a beehotch. lol"I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure.
