Do you have a garden? Do you grow your own vegetables? Do you can or freeze what you cannot eat? Do you have flowers? What do you normally plant?

I live on the seventh floor of an apartment, so I don't have a garden. I usually have a tomato plant or two in a pot (just for fresh tomatoes), but I really have no garden.

I grow roses, hot peppers, tomatoes, and certain types of melons in my backyard. When the crop is more than what we can consume, we give them to friends. I also grow container plants indoors.

Do you have a garden? Yes! Last year was the first time ever, I had my own garden. I didn't plan it well and things over crowded other things and a lot didn't get used up. I have enough dill to last me the rest of my life. LOL So this year it's going to be planned better

Do you have flowers? I will this year! I now have a little flower garden out front. There was no point in the back yard. The kids destroyed what I had out there last year. So I'm pretty excited. We just made it two days ago.
What do you normally plant? Tomatoes are a must. Green and yellow beans. And I haven't decided on the rest of it yet.

What would you plant Irene... if you had a garden? You may give me some ideas.

If I had a garden (I used to btw) I would plant in rows in the following order:

leaf lettuce (can replant later in season)
    radishes
    carrots
beets (just a few - a little goes a long way)
green beans (half row) yellow beans (other half)
    cucumbers
corn (works for shade as well)
    tomatoes
    onions (green and spanish)
    potatoes

That is what I use to plant. It was a lot of work. You can get all of this at a market garden, but there is nothing like going out to your garden and picking what you need.

I couldn't be so cruel to the little plants! I don't exactly have a green thumb, lol
