I had my G driving test today and failed it. I was not in the mood to go shopping or even look for deals. But today was the only day I could go out shopping. OMG! the cashier was supper nice in the beginning uptill those coupons came up on the counter LOL I asked her what would she want first the coupons or products. She giggled and said the products (guess she didnt expect so many). After she saw the coupons and the line up kept getting bigger she got nasty
She told me they wont take printable coupons so I told her thats fine I dont want the product then. She ended up giving it to me since she would have had to punch it all in again. Everything had a coupon but the ice cream (after today I didnt care if I had a coupon or not LOL). * the money I saved today is going to redo my test LOL*
BTW for those drivers out there - the examiner insisted on telling me at stop signs I have to slam on my break *
*. Please instruct me how to properly drive LOL (obviously I cant). The last time I took this test (which was last December) this same examiner told me to slam on my breaks on ice. So I wasnt shocked that I failed the examiner was an idiot. Have to redo it in 3 weeks (maybe Ill get someone else).

BTW had to spend 30$ for the event.
Ensure x 3 ($7.99 ea) - $3.99 ea = 11.97$
Electrosols x 4 ($3.50 ea) - 1.50$ ea = 6.00$
Royale x 1 ($4.99 ea) - 3.99$ ea = 3.99$
Kashi bars x 1 ($4.49 ea) - FREE = FREE
Stayfree x 4 (2/ 5.00$) - .50 cents ea = 2.00$
Honey Bunches of Oats x 1 ($2.49) - .49 cents = .49 cents
Eggos x 2 (1.99$ ea) - 0.99 cents ea = 1.98$
Colgate x 1 (3.99$ ea) - 0.99 cents - 0.99 cents
Chapstick x 1 ($2.49 ea) - 1.98$ = 1.98$
Band- aid x 2 ($4.99 ea) - 2.99$ ea = $5.98
Terri Choc Orange x1 ($4.49) - 4.00$ = 4.00$
Breyers ice cream x 1($3.33 ea) - 3.33$ = 3.33$
Total Before Coupons = 87.11$
Total After Coupons= 42. 62$ PLUS 2200 points.
Oh and I just looked at my receipt and some of the Stayfree are scanning at 2.01 not 2.50 . Two of the four I got ran in at 2.01.Please! Vote for me! I don't understand why they get so peeved. It's not like they have somewhere to go? What's the difference if you're passing through 10 items or 10 coupons. You still have to stand there and serve customers. I't just weird when you think about it.
On Sunday I went to Walmart and the cashier was super efficient she even explained as she was going along. She would say o.k. I scanned this now I'm taking off this coupon etc. The woman behind me had 1 item and started the old rolling eyes. Hey there's 6 express cashes at this Walmart go in one of them. So I looked at her and said it's my turn at the cash now and I'll take as long as I please, thank you very much.

exactly! i agree. i know that sometimes it is painful when customers are slow for whatever reason ( i work in customer service and on cash) BUT ultimately who cares right? i am being paid to be there AND without the customer i don't have a job. so i don't get it, why cashiers get so annoyed. i find myself aplogizing even though i don't feel that i am out of line. oh well. atleast i have everyone here on my side

Sorry about your test! Sucks to have a crappy examiner.
The stayfree are probably ringing in that way because of the 2/$5, usually when SDM has 2 for x deals the first rings in higher, the second lower.
Nice deals!

I know even the nicest cashier can turn when stressed.
I find it helps to highlight the expire date,
and placing the coupons with item .(Though some clerks do want them all at once ,best to ask)
Also at Shoppers they usually have a cosmetic counter clerk to take-up the slack or the pharmacy can take persons with health related items.
I often warn people as they come up behind me and suggest as such.
They usually take that suggest unless they need lotto or cigarettes.
The people staying I often chatter with about my deals and how to get them and when they see me charged a few dollars for a cart load or two,
I love to watch their jaws literally drop and how they quickly scramble for pens to write info down.
I have even found myself hamming it up with a strangers baby or 2(with their permission of course) because a crying baby or cranky child definitely adds to the stress level.
In short keep a light tone and smile on your face and just wait for the moment you get to giggle withglee at your savings!

This is what I have been doing lately. I usually use quite a number of coupons at SDM so I offer a coupon to the cashier and they love it if they are allowed to have it. It makes them happy and they do not seem to mind with all those coupons. I sometimes tell them the source of the coupon. Sometimes I tell a person that just starts to line up behind me that if they are in a hurry, i have some coupons so they may want to try another line and they thank me and go somewhere else. At a dept. store like Zellers it is a little different.
