I am hungover
I dropped off DH at work filled up at Costco .98 a litre, bleh, finished my first coffee, off to make breakfast. Maybe eggs and toast.
taking Mom for a geriatric assessment today. Why must parents grow old and wear out? :shrug:
My mom and dad live with us. She has Alzheimers and he is blind in one eye and has health issues also. They are 84 and 85, it's not a cakewalk that's for sure.

and still think so....stronger now
i'm not telling so in disrespect of my parents, but i notice that as they go older, they become more vulnerable
and i noticed it is like this for many ....
but remember===> they are grown up....not kids
and you face many heartbraking situation in dealing with
what's come up
Thinking of going to Peoples today and buying a nice present for my self today.
Just thinking about Patrick Swayze and adding him to the list of why people who still have much to contribute die young. Some names that come to mind, JFK, MLK, Princess Diana, Steve Irwin, and many more. I don't think their missions were done yet.

My Dad has been in a nursing home for about five years with dementia (parents have been divorced for years). But since Mom was always fine, thought he'd be the only one I had to worry about!
it's hard having to parent your parent. We are lucky in Canada to have nursing homes and a system that somewhat helps take care of our aging.
