The almighty dollar is at utmost hardcore,
Morbid gluttony packaged & presented,
& the hunger for details is rather demented,
Celebrities today seem so factory fabricated,,
The same look, style & hair – they could all be related,
Females with orbish implants in symmetrical proportion,
Cosmetic alterations that do border upon distortion,
The National Enquirer used to reign supreme,
& now we have instant dribble in an endless stream,
George Orwell published 1984 back in 1949,
Big Brother is watching, really does define,
Celebrities get divorces, have affairs, and get tattoos,
But how is it pertinent to being worthy of news?
So off you go Tiger Woods & include John & Kate,
& take Kirstie Alley & her chronicles of weight,
There will always be gurus like Oprah & Dr Phil,
