just bought this adorable hat

I LOVE that hat, bub! I've looked a lot at etsy, but just haven't had the courage to buy anything from it yet (same with eBay, lol!). Have all your transactions worked out good?

Patty, great that your son has continued with lessons! I got my Bronze medallion around his age, too, then I stopped. But I did get to use my skills once - when I was doing my teaching internship (grade 3), we were swimming at an indoor city pool and this kid (an always in trouble kid, lol) jumped off the diving board, and couldn't swim - I just happened to be walking at the side nearby, not at that time in the water. I yelled for the lifeguards (they were all in the office, duh), and I had to get him out, they didn't come. All the boy kept saying after was "Miss ***, I'm going to be your friend forever!"

My OB wouldn't let me go far over my due date - had an ultrasound on the due date itself - a Friday, he said this baby's getting too big, and scheduled the induction for the Monday. Our son was 3800g - 8 lbs, 3 oz. I ended up with an emergency c-section, though, after being in labour 10 hours.

Ya, my doctor lets me deliver over 10lb babies. That's why he says my body was made for having babies. We're expecting this one to be in the 10lb range as well. Deliver all natural, 4 hour labours.

I asked him if he would induce me a little earlier than 14 days over, but he said "no, you pushed your son out with no issues, so you should do just fine with this one." I was a little irritated, but I know he's right.

I've had some more funny pains this morning, so we'll see what happens this weekend. A bunch of my friends are saying that it will happen by tomorrow because of the full moon, but I'd be very surprised.

Haven't had any more snow yet, thank goodness! Its been cloudy today though and really cold, so maybe tonight. Picked all our spuds today, so at least thats finished. Red Deer treating you well?
PS I spent 3 summers at the Penhold Cadet Camp when I was a kid...nice area!

glad you didn't have any more snow yet yesterday. LOL We are still digging and picking up potatoes! We grew alot tho. My dad thought he was going to have time to go to the farmers market to sell potatoes so we grew alot. Well we have enough to donate to people who could use them because no one had time to go to the market!
We were about 12-14 temp wise yesterday so it wasn't bad for us. Red Deer is ok. Since we live between Red Deer and Sylvan Lake we actually do most of our grocery shopping in Sylvan because they have a No Frills where Red Deer doesn't. Plus Superstore in Red Deer is all the way on the other side of Red Deer so it takes like 1/2hr to get there from home vs 10min to the Sylvan No Frills. It is a very nice area tho-I do like it here.

Natalka, I've been up too, but just taking care of the house instead of turning on the computer.

WE HAVE HEAT!!!!!!! I'm sad that we had to spend all that money, but we have heat again - 3 days later.

I had my ultrasound yesterday, too, and she's definately happy and healthy in there. It took all of 15 minutes to do, but I got a good look at her She co-operated better than her brother did during the biophysical ultrasounds. DS would not breathe for them when he was disturbed, but this little one did. It was really neat to watch.

So still no baby? She must be happy in there! Does she know she is supposed to come out? lol It is good she co-operated with the tests tho. That sounds neat that you got to watch that.

WOA! that is quite amazing! My mom had fast deliveries too! With either me or one of my sisters, I guess it was so fast that the doctor actually missed the delivery! She always likes telling that one. With me I was 3 weeks early and the story goes that my mom went in and the hospital said she wasn't that far and was going to send her home but the doctor said to keep my mom there because she has babies super fast! lol The doctor was right and I was 8lbs 13oz at 3weeks early! All legs apparently.

I am exhausted and very mad.

I was having a great sleep till 3:15 in the morning when my neighbour (I live in a townhouse) decided to come home angry, puts his music on full blast and starts banging on the walls , slaming doors and screaming.

He blasts his music pretty much every night until 12:00am but last night was the last straw with me , if I hear his music one more time after 11pm, I'm calling the police.
I have to get up at 6am every morning this is the last thing I need when I'm trying to sleep.

Sorry for the vent everyone, I had to get it off my chest.

You must be having a normal pregnancy becasuse my doc. wouldn't let me go one day over with all my complications and she even said we may go early because Kiera was big at 38 weeks.

Very normal - my doc keeps telling me that my body was made for having babies. How big was Kiera?

8lbs 14oz she put on just under 20lbs in 4 and a half years.

It was more because I had high blood pressure and gestational diabetes among other things but she was near 9 lbs and oh yeah I was almost 43. LOL
