I'm really worried about having to deal with this & my surgery @ the same time. It's scheduled for next Wed. I'm at Sunnybrook tomorrow for my pre-op. Maybe they should just shoot me, 'They Shoot Horses Don't They'. Just kidding of course. Oh well, I can't wait for this to be all over with.

I know how you feel, which is why I don't post much about it. I just don't want to cause any conflict between us. I like & respect you, and in many ways, we feel exactly the same.
I've volunteered there for over 16 years now, & the changes I've seen are astounding. I'm not going to try to defend all aspects of the zoo, but I do stand behind the advances they've made; their medical advances / discoveries are world renown, the reintroduction of some of species to the wild, and the genuine care & love of the animals by most of the the keepers. But of course, still more needs to be done. Enough said.

I'm going to the S.A. on Friday, Saturday meeting some friends for a Corona patio thing down here and a lawnbowling jitney on Monday.
Don't mean anything personal about the zoo thing - I just can't go there - the last time was a few years ago and I can still see that big cat going around and around in circles - I get very emotional seeing them having to live like that.......I know you help out there which is good but I just can't handle the situation............hope you have a good weekend

I was sick all week, but tried to do everything & did have a lot of fun, but would have had more if I was better; they even called the resort doctor 4 me @ one point, & I'm still sick, but really glad I went.

What a big drag getting sick now of all times!!! If I was feeling that bad and having to go away soon I think I'd go to a doctor and get the best stuff to knock whatever it is right out of me in the shortest amount of time. I know it can seem overwhelming but really when you think about it there isn't that much to bring - just sunscreen, hot weather clothes and some medications in case of certain things.....let me know how your doing....

Actually pretty good. Covered some things I wouldn't even have thought of.
4 days, but wouldn't you know it, I'm as sick as a dog this morning.
Felt it coming on yesterday afternoon, but now, damn.
Sore throat, ears, sinuses & head, with a fever of 101.6. I'd like to go back to bed, but I've so much still to do.

Hi; just got home & can't wait to get to bed. It WAS nice seeing you again too. I went out for a smoke, washroom break & a drink. It was crowded, so stood back for awhile & started talking to a few people. Ended up staying with them. Left about 10 min before the end, so I could get out of the parking lot before the rush. I had a great time - good company, & good music. Looking forward to the next time. Good night. xo

thanks again; I really needed that right now. And, I'm with you. I used all my points (622 entries) & after that, I was done. Figured that so many people were still on holidays, & not yet entered, I'd have a better chance. It paid off.

I've never been to New York, or Punta Cana for that matter, so I have no suggestions, sorry. If I were you, if u really want the trip, I'd put in as many entries as possible.
