I'm not really sure if I'll be going... But my family has been unemployed for over a year now so we've been putting resume's all over Canada, but quite a few in Nunavut, pretty much in every town... I'm hoping to be able to stay here in Vernon, but of course we are keeping our options wide open :D.. Thanks for the link to the grocery stores in nunavut! Have a great day! Alee.
I live in Cape Breton now, but I spent 25 years in Nunavut and Nunavik(the Inuit villages of Northern Quebec). The main retail/grocery chain across the north is Northern. http://www.northernstores.ca/ Most towns also have a Co-op which also sell a mix of retail and grocery. Other than those two you'd really have to be in one of the larger centres for more selection. Like Iqaluit or Rankin Inlet. The smaller villages have very little in the way of amenities, but you sure get to know everyone fast! Any idea whereabouts you'll be? And what will you be doing up there?
Wow you live in Nunavut?? I may be moving there this year, which will be quite a change from BC... I lived in Whitehorse though for a few years... Are there any good stores to shop at there? When I looked online for stores it looked like there was a couple but not really any box stores..
You too.
Thanks! Thanks for the rep 2!! Have a gReaT DaYYY!
