  1. Thanks, Happy Easter Lynn!
  2. Yes, he does.
Dogs are great entertainment, I think
  3. Omg!! "Found it"??! Thanks for the laugh...Don't they just make your day sometimes? Actually...truth be told, Jenny makes me laugh every day with her silly antics...Keep smilin', Sweetheart!
  4. The drugs they give them for the surgery leaves them a little 'drunk' after, it's actually more funny then sorry looking. He would walk, and topple over, then look at me all confused.
They called an hour after I dropped him off to tell us he didn't have a second.. man part. I couldn't stop laughing, then I heard in the background 'FOUND IT!'
  5. LOL!!! I'll so you one better....she's piddled with excitement on two visitors here already! Thank goodness one was my BFF's hubby when they visited, and the second was our neice. I had to give her a new pair of my socks! LOL!
    They're both dog-lovers...whew!

Oh, she just loves going to the vet! She gets lots of treats and attention and if there's one thing this gal thrives on, it's attention! I'm sad that she has to be neutered in a few weeks (she'll be 5 months old)...I just can't imagine anyone cutting into that pretty little tummy... And she'll be hurting for a while after that. But it's best for all concerned... I imagine Sparky's seen his share of vets poor little guy! He looks like such a happy puppy, too..just like Jenny!
  6. LOL yes,
I don't know if i told you about his cold (I had to research if it's even possible, but it is) but earlier we had company over, and he goes right up to her, sneezes on her BLACK pants, and walks away. Leaving a little mess.
I was MORTIFIED. But I also couldn't stop laughing. She understood, thank god.

    Hows Jenny with the vet?
  7. Hah! Love the spaghetti thing! Oh, how we abuse our fur-kids! LOLOL!!
  8. I actually tried that when he was a baby, but it hit him on accident and now he's terrified of bottles. We throw toilette paper rolls 'at' him, and he gets in the kill mode too, so funny. Plus, the cardboard helps them go #2 (or so I heard).

OR, if you're making a Spaghetti, put a piece over her face, it'll be funny to watch her take it off.
  9. Quick story.....Jenny wanted me to play with her and I wanted to take a break, so I found one of my hubby's pop bottles (the regular small ones), tossed a few pennies in and rolled it on the floor to her...OMG!!! I laughed so hard I almost needed a Depends! LOL!! She was determined to "kill" it...!!! Just had to relate it.....if Sparky is in need of a diversion (or you!)...give it a try..or if you just need a good laugh!
  10. Pad training is so convenient lol. Sparky makes those mistakes too, we just got a bath mat (on clearance) from zellers and put his pad over it, and we'll clean his puddles when it happens, and stick the entire bath mat in the bathtub for a cleaning every couple days.

He takes baby asprin for his joints, when they start acting up. Or if he gets a fever, which he has been recently. Everything else is pretty much non-treatable. The heart conditions solution is to keep him calm, and such.

Good luck on the training !

    P.S
Most of the pads from pet valu soak through, be careful.
  11. Aw, poor little tyke. We're puppy-pad training Jenny also...she's about 90% trained...it would be 100% except for her long body....Her 4 paws are on the pad, but that hind end can extend beyond the perimeter, and you know what that means....toss out the newspaper we have under the pad...clean with no-odour cleaner, followed by laminate flooring cleaner...lol....Except for our walks, that's enough exercise for anyone. We found a great price on pads at CT...a pak of 432 for 8.99! 40% off right now....

So is he on medications? Geez, that must cost a bundle....All the best, Hon!...Lynn
  12. He has a hole in his heart, enlarged heat, a 'hunch back' (curved spine near his neck), Addison disease (sort of like ADD and Bi-Polar all in one), joint problems, and now his lungs are getting their run around. We had to potty train him indoors, because when he goes outside he gets so excited about snow that he has heart attacks.

So sorry to hear about Tammy. I love elegant dogs, so proper.

I heard that song not long ago, a friend sent it to me. Not too bad
  13. Oh, dear...Sparky's sick? With what? How old is he? Oh, how sad....

We have a new puppy....a 4-month old little girl dachshund...whereas our Tammy (a border collie/collie we lost to cancer last February) was an elegant Lady...this one's the Tramp! Oh, goodness she keeps these two old people going!

I hope Sparky gets better very soon, Brandy...
Your name reminds me of that song, "Brandy"...still one of my favourites!!

See you along the way, Hon!!...Lynn
  14. Hi there, My name is Brandy Short for BrandyAnn.

It' alright, i'd rather Sparky then most people. He's very sick so we have a close bond
  15. Hello, Bella!! I'm in North-Central Ontario (it used to be "northern" Ontario but evidently that didn't fly well with folks here, so somewhere along the line, we changed it...lol!)...Are you southern Ontario...so many of you on here and get together from time to time....

You're such a welcome addition to our little corner of the world...it's a pleasure to meet you!...Lynn

Oh...forgot to mention...LOVE your wee Sparky-Pooh! Next to people, dogs are the BEST! Oops. Did I say "next"??! I meant.....ah...you know...Dogs are only a teensy bit lower than angels.....
  16. Thanks for the rep!!
