I have been making trips to toronto for the last decade for the hospital as i contracted a rare form of cancer in my first year of university... I hate that city! My husband actually quit his job in saskatoon after finding out they were going to send him to toronto for more days out of the week then he'd be home..which is why we are out in Ottawa country... better then TO but definitely not good... We are moving home.. just not soon enough! I hope you get to go home Too! You aren't kidding about the rude, obnoixious assholes.. we went to the quebec side the other day and people were actually stopping their cars to let us cross the street.. and i just turned to my husband and said how much nicer people are across the river and how insane it was that that would never happen in Ottawa. What can you do??? I've actually seen people try to walk in my path instead of getting out of the way. My husband and i did this little experiment where he'd watch from a distance as my 1 year old son and i tried to walk through an uncrowded area and he was astounded at the amount of people purposefully going in our path so we would have to move... then we watched my husband do the same experiment and he is basketball player huge.. people were mowing over women and children instead... wasn't even any need for it as there was tonnes of open space. I just hate the people out here!

I hate it here, the ppl are boring and full of themselves and rude. I'm from BC and I dream of going back west, even Alberta.

Torontonians have serious NY envy and try so hard to constantly be like NY, altho they will never admit it.
so many people here are so ignorant and selfish and demanding, unpleasant and uncourteous, man I could go on!

Out west, if you ding someone's car, you leave a note apologizing with your contact info. Here your car gets dinged and dented like crazy, because no one is respectful of others, and they NEVER leave a note.
argh!

I hope your plans work out and you get to go somewhere more truly 'Canadian' than this sorry excuse for a province.

trapped in ontario hell? I hear ya! We have been out in ontario for 3 years and saskatchewan will always be home... just gotta make enough money to retire and move back.. or atleast get enough experience to score a hefty paying job in Alberta.. we'll most certainly be on our way back! Not soon enough. Ontario is a gong show!
