Haha sorry, I realized I was being silly after I posted.

I soaked the cigarette in 1 cup of alcohol, but was told that it didn't matter a little on either way.

I understand that part lol
What i wanted to know is what quantity of alcool did you use to "soak" your cigarette overnight ?

Alcohol quantity is 1 part to nine parts water. So if you are using a litre of water it would be:
100mL alcohol solution
900mL water
half litre would be 50mL alcohol and 450mL water.
