Oh Jody!!!! That is awful... Both for your little son and for you! I hope you are feeling great now.

It terrible when things go wrong with our children but then to have issues with your own health on top of it all HUGZZZZZZ! That is just awful.

We got the exact same phone call you did that said they didn't know what it was after they did the MRI. It was huge. They said it was not a ganglion but they weren't exactly sure what it was. We had to wait about 6 weeks before the surgery and the not knowing was the worst. It DID turn out to be a ganglion. It was just really wrapped around the nerves in her hand. She had her surgery after she was diagnosed with Diabetes. She just couldn't fast before the operation. All went well and recovery was fairly quick.

I feel for you. My son, who is now 16, had a cancerous tumor on his lip. He went through surgery and chemo when he was 3. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a year ago on Tuesday and went through surgery and chemo. It was so much harder when it was my kids.

Oh my they were DX almost the same time! Mine just turned 14 and was Dx at age 11... March 17, 2009.

Did your daughter have her lump surgically removed when she had diabetes? I am so worried about the whole thing.
And I will probably be in school when she finally gets through the whole process. Did your daughter also have a MRI and it was also "not Known" what it is... Hate all that. JUst hope it turns out to be nothing too...

Sending more positive thoughts your way. I posted in your thread about how my daughter had a lump on her hand and it all turned out okay. I didn't realize your daughter is a diabetic. Mine is too! She is almost 15. Diagnosed when she was 12. Sending all the good vibes I can. I know how hard this is.
