Had 2 do 2 messages; kept telling me it was 2 long. My friend that's been helping me up & down the stairs, driving me to the hospital, etc. had to have surgery today, & will be in the hospital for a wk. They removed his gall bladder. One good thing, he's in the same hospital that I'll be at tomorrow, so when I'm done, I'l be able to go up and see him B4 I come home. I'm pleased about that, 'cause otherwise, I wouldn't get to see him, for who knows how long. Anyhow, I'm going to say good night. Not quite bed time, but I've an early rise in the morning, so want to hit the sack in good time.
Thanks Lynn. Wow, I bet you're relaxing after such a busy day. Enjoy that wine, and the movie of course. 3 more dogs, your place must have been quite a zoo, but fun. Me, didn't do a thing. Actually, I just feel tired. I'm sure the appt. will go well. Expect they'll take an X-ray, say no weight baring, we'll see you in another 3 wks. You must have the patience of Jobe. It's not been 5 wks yet, & I'm so bored - itching to get moving. Stuff to do, places to go ……. You know how it is.
Good evening, Hicks...it was a fine day, thank you. A friend came over for coffee and cookies with her 3 dogs, then I had a hair appointment, shopped for dinner and now Hubby's babysitting our Grandson since it's the kids' pool league. I'm sipping wine and re-watching The Polar Express.... A great day...no doctors involved! Lol! Did you get rested up today for tomorrow's appt? I hope you get the A-OK and continue through a successful recovery. It's so boring though, isn't it? You think about all the things you want or should be doing, but can't. I'm almost through the other side and I guarantee you, you'll be there soon, too! Sweet dreams!
Ugh, Hicks, wearing that thing for 48 hrs was quite enough; those tabs were so itchy! Our doc says I have "princess skin", lol...surprised I didn't get a rash from them. I hope the results show something; it's too depressing not to be able to move around...who can seriously shop for only 20 minutes?! Anyhoodles, you're on the mend...such good news; you'll be back to absolute normal soon! Hugs, Babe!
Thank you for the rep, Sweetheart. I hope you have a lovely day.....{{{hugs}}}
Thank you, Hicks..not exactly the way I'd have chosen to spend a few hours today, but remaining positive... I hope you have an absolutely lovely day...outside, I hope? Hugs, Lynn
Good morning, Hicks! Yep, unfortunately halloween is absolutely not my favourite time of the year...probably my worst favourite. It was great when the kids were young, costumes were made from stuff gathered around the house, imaginations ran wild in the kids, so much fun. Now? It's Avengers, or Frozen, or whatever costumes the kids parents can buy for them, teenagers at the door, and my worst, absolutely WORST are parents who are carrying babies and a treat bag!! Who the heck are they kidding?! Go buy your own dang candy! Whew. Sorry for the rant, LOL...but it's over now, we can all concentrate on Christmas! Hope you have a great NFL day!
Oh ye of little faith. It's now tied. Never say quit.
Thank you, Hicks...looks like our baseball season is over...I couldn't watch anymore after they pulled Price and they got another score. Well, it was a great run while it lasted! Have a great weekend, Sweetie!!
Hi love. No problem with ur siggy; Canada doesn't have an NFL team. The Jays & Royals are pretty evenly matched, so the series could go either way. I thought we'd tie it up in the 6th, but there's still 3 innings to go, and the Jays are famous for their come-from-behind wins. Remember, it's not over till it's over. Sorry, I don't get your North Korea comment. Anyway, enjoy the rest of the game.
Hi, Sweetie...kind-of a scary game, huh? I am, anyway...the Royals are a darn good team..unfortunately. And Lol, I'm waiting for someone or two to give me chit for my siggy for "not supporting a Canadian team" ...hahaha! I didn't realize we lived in North Korea. Gah! This isn't going well at all! Jays? Go? Please?!
Maybe it'll show up here...just a little smile for you..
Thanks hon. It is lonely, but it is what it is. You make the best of it. I sincerely wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. As for the Jays. I sure hope they pull it together, and fast. With all the hype, and the new fans, I don't want to see everyone disappointed - again. Have a great evening.
Aw, Hicks, it makes me sad to think of you alone tomorrow; if you were here, you'd certainly be welcome to join us!! So, what's up with those Jays?! I think the little Angel has left them and flown their coup; I really hate to be negative, but this is what I really dislike about sports, because the Packers have done this to me for the past few years! Great start, then lots of injuries, then phhht! Gone. Well, appendages crossed for them in Texas Wishing you Thanksgiving Blessings, Sweetheart: God Bless!
So I've noticed. Trying to ignore, but annoying. Started to just blow on by. We lost, but we'll win tomorrow.
Shhhh...don't feed the trolls or they'll never go away; this one thrives on confrontation.... I'm so scared for the Jays, I can hardly watch!!!!
Hi, Hicks! Oh gosh it's cold out there!! It's 10, but with that wind, it feels much colder!! I'm taking a wee break from all the finickity colour-work on the "hudson bay" sweater I'm knitting for the little lamb I knitted for our kids' new niece or nephew...now to weave in all those ends! I'm also keeping an eye on our Daughter's flight from Mexico, scheduled to land in Toronto at around 6:59 tonight, then she lands here around 11:30, so Hubby will pick her up. I think he'd best pick up a winter coat for her...she'll likely arrive in flip-flops!! It was SO much hotter here when she left! It's 11 now but with that wind, I could hardly sit outside for more than a few minutes! Hope all's well in your world today, Hon!
It really was a good game, just didn't like the outcome. It's not so warm here, yet. The sun's just come out & burned off the fog, but it's suppose to warm up. Personally, I think autumn is beautiful, but so depressing. Everything's dying, and I know my days are limited outside, before I go into hibernation mode. Oh well, enjoy each day we still have. Have a good one.
Oh dear, Hicks...with those falling leaves and that little pathetic doggie in your post, it all looks so sad, I'm thinking you're really unhappy about the game last night... Cheer up! They'll win tonight!!! Hope you're enjoying (as much as is possible after last night's game) a sunny, warm fall day!!
It was suppose to rain all night & into today, but so far, nothing, and the sun's trying to come out. But, windy, cool, but humid. Be careful driving, could be slippery. Hopefully, it'll clear up, so everything has time to dry out before you pack up. Have a good one love.
Thank you for the rep, Hicks! Dreary, rainy day here, which I do not enjoy being on a road-trip in, but hopefully if I put off leaving soon it'll clear up...Hope it's nicer where you are!! Carpe diem, Sweetie!!
oops, hit the wrong button. was going to say 'just 'cause ur so much fun'
I'm going to respond via p.m.
Hi! Thanks for the rep, Hicks! Oh, honestly, it's so much fun being at camp. I was talking about it with my DD and we decided that the reason we're so much more relaxed there is that there's really nothing urgent to attend to (except she still monitors calls from clients, even on weekends), so we read, take walks...things we don't do at home, because there's always something that HAS to be done! And of course the trees that surround us, the lake, beach...but the season is winding down to the end of September. How are you doing lately? How is your friend at the hospital? Hugs, Hon!
Sorry about that weird rep. Forgot I'd copied something, & pasted it in error. Meant to say, I hope you're having a great w/end.
Oh, so true, Hicks!! I can't believe camping can be so busy...there's always something going on somewhere on that island! I hope your Friend is doing much better today and continues to improve every day...hugs, Sweetheart...
thanks have fun
