We skiied Massif and St.Anne last spring - but have never been to the winter carnival

Aussie Girl is all healed

so glad her paw will heal, sounds like you take very good care of her - very good of you!!!! she is very lucky to have gotten such a good home where she can run with other dogs and go on such nice walks etc etc!!!

- was just looking at Mexico where I can get a good deal on a condo for a week but the air fare doesn't look so good so I may not bother....

Not sure exactly how it happened - we were up north and she was out herding a few of our friends dogs ..am thinking she might have caught it on a stick, a jagged rock.??? She came in and had a wee throw up - clear fluids - my first thought was that she over exhausted herself running.... then she went and just lay down...so I cuddled up with her and then noticed a piece of the pad hanging from her paw...ouch...so called the emerg vet and took her in immerdiately...we were up north so couldnt get to our reg vet...we followed up with our vet when we got home...the good news is it will heal entirely...
yes luckily I can work at home - so no cone. When we are in different rooms for a few minutes I call out "no paw paw" lol and I can imagine her stopping the licking and looking for me... She is cuddled up beside me now sleeping.You are very kind to ask of her wellness.

OMG! part of her pad being ripped off - ouch, ouch, ouch!!! poor doggy, how did that happen?? I always feel sorry for them with those cones on, it must seem like your trying to torture them!!!

Don't know if I'll be going anywhere - can't find any decent airfares and I'm a bit late to coordinate the place and the fare, but will see what happens, it would be nice to be going this week!!!

Aussie Girl is much better today..almost back to her self....it must have been so painful when it first happened...have you seen much of that - a pad being torn off...ouch....I have her sleeping on the bed - so she doesn't have to wear a cone...I know it's the best for her to help her heal, but she looks sad when I bring the cone out... her wound is nice an d clean, and seems to be healing...am sure the pain med is helping....ty for asking and caring.

oh ecat, I read about it yesterday...and feel so repulsed about it...

it was a show showing the hell that goes on at an industrial pig farm, a fellow from Mercy for Animals went in and took some video of "thumping" etc and gave it to W5, I didn't watch the whole thing (couldn't) already knew about most of it but man how horrible - 1,000's of them in those little crates just suffering... hopefully it opens up some people's eyes - and helps to lessen the "demand" didn't want to go into too much detail on the thread

Thanks for your hugs to poor Stanley!!! That poor pud, he looks so frustrated and sad, I can only imagine..........a loving home for 10 years and then boom your in a cage!!! They do their best there to look after the animals but it can never be like life in a loving home.........breaks my heart.........Aussie Girl was lucky that you found her!!!

Hope you are doing well. Skiing locally the next 2 days, then that will wrap it up for Ontario skiing. Have one more ski trip this season - out to the rockies...so still have one more snow fix Le Massif and St. Anne were awesome... 6 - 7 foot snowbanks - I was like a kid in a candy store lol

Thanks for the WB! Not that I'm that glad to be back, well you know when you've been somewhere really nice, I find it hard to feel good about coming back!!! We did have a great time though.

Curling went okay today we tied the game, better than losing!

Anyways, I still feel like looking out at that ocean from my balcony but it's not there...anymore.... I know I really am a suck when it comes to ending a holiday!!!!
