Hi! Thanks for the visit to my profile page. The pic I have on there is not Tofino. It's the beach at Robert's Creek on the Sunshine Coast. It's on the mainland just north of Vancouver, only accessible by a 40 minute ferry ride. If you saw the beach at Tofinio you would see giant rolling 10-20 foot waves crashing onto a huge beach that is about 10 miles long and very wide. It's open to the Pacific so it's a great surfing beach. I just heard this morning that they're going to get the Olympic flame onto a surf board at Tofino at some point during the torch relay.
