Had a dusting down here today. Fingers crossed that I will do some skiing over the X-mas break. I plan on putting in a rink in the backyard (first time) too. Have the frame built (20 x 36), just waiting for the temperature to drop below zero before I put the plastic down and put the water in it.

snow is a coming - woohoo...passes are bought - holiday out west booked for March....think snow!!!!

smiling I remember one year we had hockey, skiing, and soccer finishing in the spring and literally a couple of weekends later switching to soccer, mountain biking, BMXing and water skiing - should have sold the house and lived in the van we were in it so much.....treasured memories ..and the best thing ever we still venture out and enjoy said sports together...well I pass on a few One summer they duct taped the pedals on an olf BMX and would daily do flips on the bike on the trampoline --------- yikes....hence the avid shredders..........

and very Happy Thanksgiving to your family! Wow looks like you will have a busy weekend. I am just having 20 or so people over on Sunday. Unfortunately not enough for a sit down Turkey dinner (that will be with just the 5 of us on Sat) so it will be more of a "finger food" type meal.

Yes hockey and Skiing. Now we have one in hockey AND one in Hockey school. But at least I think Travel soccer is not happening this year so I won't have that as well on Sunday.

Good Morning - sure sounds like a busy time for you.....will bring the ski gear out next week - have a house full here Sun and Mon so boards and skiis might trip up a few peeps ....
ski show is worth the trip hope you make it there...am golfing on the Sunday of the ski show - so will be heading there on the Friday or Thursday...

Hey Mcskier! Thanks for the Heads up on the Ski Show. Maybe this year I may actually be more inclined to go. Was a little busy. Spent 10 days driving to FLA (Disney) in Sept, came back for 4 days and then went golfing for the weekend. To be honest I haven't caught up from that weekend now it's gearing up for Thanksgiving weekend. Whew! So being away for the last half of Sept, work was getting the best of me.

Broke out the skis yet? Getting them tuned up? How's things?

NOVEMBER 10???? Really? We have enough snow in Ontario to be skiing by Nov 10? Wow, Lucky you. I would consider myself luck to be skiing by Christmas (or during the Christmas break).

I will certainly grant you your golf games - but your calculations are off a wee bit, as my calendar clearly indicates snow starts in 88 days... cheers my friend!!!

I actually have 2 tickets lift to use this season (out of 10). But the weather is calling for RAIN for the next 5 days. If it was just warm I would go, but rain is where I draw the line. I have skied in the rain too many times and I do not need 1 hand much less 2 to count how many times I had fun doing that.

aghast!!!!! think positive...skiing will go to the end of the month....then you should bunk for 10 days and come skiing out west...it's the only way to welcome spring....signed snow junkie....
