Keep forgetting to tell you although you've probably figured as much but lol I don't wanna stand in xmas lines at the post office to send your crystal light so waiting until after the holidays. I really hate the post office any time but especially at xmas. Have you ever noticed no one talks to each other in line. Other places there is usually a friendly soul or two but at the post office everyone avoids even making eye contact. It's eerie oh and if someone does get chatty most of the people will pointedly ignore them looking the other way or whatever to keep from talking to the person. Weird or is it just me but I swear it's that way everywhere I've been unless someone knows someone else in the line then they will talk.

Ty kizzie and batman are chihauhaus. We always had chihauhaus but kizzie is the first one who really loves me. THe rest were ds and dh's. You have a pic of mollie? Rat terriers are cute. Just noticed your dogs profile, the one in your avatar, the shape of its head looks exactly like my dogs except for the color. Mollie has white and black except for her face has some brown in it. Her ears are usually standing up but when they aren't they could be twins except for the color. What kind of dog is yours, mines a rat terrier. Ok will get it for you I think I made it with blackberries and another one with cherries. I'm making a strawberry pie for Thanksgiving, actually two. Taking one to my in-laws but not staying there but DH is then he's going hunting with his brother for 3 days. Our son is going to come get me at the in-laws and going to go spend a couple days with them (going to have pizza for dinner lmao but wanted to make them something special at least and this is the recipe that Picadilly's uses to make their strawberry pie. Figured my daughter would love the chance to make her first Thanksgiving dinner but they really can't afford to cook a big meal right now and I can't really afford it either. But hey I love Papa Johns pizza especially the one near them yummy and we don't have Papa Johns here.

They certainly keep you hopping with their up and down moods, sounds like you are doing what you need to and am betting they turn into healthy happy adjusted adults. There is nothing quite like seeing first hand the risks its unfortunate but one hell of a lesson. I'm so sorry you've just been hit with so much lately the funerals the car and all be sure to take good care of yourself stress can really mess with your immune system.

I take the same steps. I talk to them about the friends I lost in high school, and then a friend of theirs was killed in a car accident and one of jakes friends nephews od on drugs. So once they experienced it they began to change some what. When jake tells me nothing will happen or I am paranoid I remind him he walked out in front of a car. Things were better by sunday. Jake and his girlfriend started talking about their future and the possibility of them buying her parents house when they move so he loved me again and told her said I have no problem living there as long as I come see momma every other day. LMAO.

Teenagers are difficult no matter how well you raised them. The only thing you can do is stay consistent, let them know you're there for them, educate them about the risks of drugs and unprotected sex and hope and pray they listen to you. There are so many resources available I wouldn't try talking to mine until I got my facts straight and could show them exactly what they are risking. Being a nurse I was able to tell them about people I'd taken care of that totally ruined their health and lives with drugs. I also told them that they could call me to come get them regardless of time of day and even if they were drunk or whatever I would not punish them and surprisingly they did call a couple times. Omg it was so hard not to lecture or punish but I had to keep my word so they would trust me in the future. They unfortunately had first hand knowledge also of what drinking and driving can do as 5 of their friends in highschool were killed in one accident when they were 14 and 16, then the night before my dd graduation 2 more of their friends was killed drinking and driving. Tough lessons to learn. Patience is the hardest part of dealing with a teen at times I'd have to leave the room to compose myself b4 dealing with them LOL that counting to 10 didn't work more like 100 or more. Getting them involved in sports and after school activities keeps them out of some trouble and gives them a constructive outlet but nothing really helps the know it all attitude. It breaks your heart when they lash out and act so hateful but this age doesnt' last forever. My ds told me after 9/11 he was in the army at the time that he and his buddies compared who their heroes were and he told them I was so I know sooner or later they appreciate what you've done for them. It's a tough age to get through but consistency and educating them is the key to surviving it. Don't take it personal although it sure feels personal its a normal part of their growth process as they learn to stand on their own two feet and begin to draw away from their childhood. If you need to talk or anything I'm usually here I hope that helped but lol I know little does, it's just something that you learn as you go. Fighting with them will never work always be the adult and they will come out of it respecting you for it.

I could really use advice on teenagers. I feel like a bad mother. I know I did what was right tho. I know they will realise it when they are older. Just hurts me now ya know?

your lucky. Mine live in the same town. They call daily. BIL works with dh and I get to listen to him about all that.

It's going much better thanks! Woohoo lol was able to actually lay down to sleep, been sleeping in the recliner hurt to bad to lay on my back or sides and never been a tummy sleeper, so it felt great and I slept so well finally. Flu seems to have given up too and appetite is starting to pick up again. Lost close to 15 pounds even b4 the flu I had been having troubles eating since mid august. Hope things are going well with you...the inlaws did go home didn't they? I really do sympathize with that my father in law is a nitemare and brother and sister in laws drink like fishes. LOL I wonder sometimes where my hubby came from, doesn't seem possible he is related to that family! LOL I'll be hearing all the horrible things his dad had to say about me next time we see his brother (like his opinion really bothers me!) Well hope you are having a great weekend. Take care!
