Congratulations on your prize wins! They make summer a little sweeter! I have not entered codes late this week. No instants wins and no e-mails about being $22K richer! Funnily enough, I ended up buying 2 Pepsis today because of my walking (water ran out) and well, two more codes to add to my last cap for next week! At least I will sleep well tonight (feet need recovery time).
I’m prized out with Pepsi: case of pop, bag of Doritos and $10 kfc card. How did you make out?
Wow-that's great to know you won a prize, Skippy! I have my entries in the for the draw but I think I have to say bye-bye to drinking pop. Probably will look for codes from snack foods going forward (so I don't get tempted by the Dollarama pop cooler).
I won a 12pk of Pepsi yesterday! Hope you’re successful too! Blessings my friend!
I hear you with the humidity and to do lists,I have a collection of them. You’re idea of ripping up them wouldn’t work for me as I would forget stuff and then I would need to start from scratch.Although DW and cat both have ideas for my time
Wishing you much contest fun with the Pepsi codes, Skippy! Honestly, some of the humid days have messed up to do lists. If things are not done in the cooler hours of the AM, I forget or release the rest of the list. Just need to remember to tear up those lists on the same day.
Sweat and forget weather-I like that line and hate that weather! Speaking of which you should do the forecast with your Mr Wind and other descriptions! You could be another Bill Lawrence weather man/person on chch Indeed I just started playing the Pepsi contest. I saw your remarks elsewhere and gave you credit.
Have fun enjoying the cooler temps over the weekend, Skippy! Today's wind is making up for the past two days' of sweat and forget weather! Psst, are you playing Pepsi's Win Summer contest?
Always encouraging to see your posts. Have a great week ahead!
Thank you for the likes and also your updates. It is encouraging to see your posts too!
Always good to see you posting!
And soon to be roll up the rim season! Thank you for your encouragement! Have a great weekend!
I enjoy seeing your posts on the forum, Skippy! Spring is almost here-double yay!!
Yay!!! Always nice to see and read your posts!
Thank you for your Optimum points input. Much appreciated! Take care of yourself!
I like that comment and it would go well in a greeting card! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you and yours! Stay safe and well my friend!
Wishing you a celebratory holiday season with more easy moments than achy moments, Skippy! My journey has to be this way and it's accepting it and getting on with what I can do that sometimes bogs me down. Louise Hay did say there are opportunities, a thimbleful or an oceanful, waiting for us. Sometimes I reflect on that thought and make sure I keep warm (throw blanket, staying in bed, my warm winter coat when I go outside, drink tea). As the Mandalorian states, "This is the way."
Still praying for you and yours! Hope your pain is minimal and manageable.
Thank you for the reply! This site never sends me any notifications so it’s all hit or miss! Instructive infers you may want to change something.Whereas I seem to bypass that stage and hope it goes away until I can no longer do so and then wonder how I could be so stupid to allow it to go so far.Today was indeed raking wet leaves which weigh more than dry! Only took me nearly an hour to figure it out! Now I am pretty much done for the day! I am sorry that you end up doing stuff that others don’t. It adds insult to injury. As I always say take life one day/hour/minute/whatever works best for you!
I can certainly answer your question! I have had some pain develop in the left (thigh) top and side (started around Oct 31) and this week, my lower left calf is squawking (thought it was raking related but I could be also not sitting properly at the computer with one leg tucked under so...questions). I am gathering that my cancer is likely impacting those areas hence letting me know my walking range and ability to stay out on my own is diminishing. I am also resting more often and giving the areas a massage for what it might do. So instructive pain can be understood that acknowledging the pain exists and adapting my activities or allowing for more support (slower pace or realizing, hey, I have to do things over a couple of days instead of one morning) during activities--some chores need doing because my family members are not pitching in with them.
Good morning! I was just catching up on posts and saw that your pain was instructive. Would you mind me asking what exactly is instructive? As perhaps I have missed something in my own pain journey. Thank you and enjoy the rest of the week.
Yay!....double Yay for Baby Yoda! To amuse yourself just keep pronouncing YayYoda over and over!
Early 50s is the correct answer! Baby Yoda+2 (52).
Asking me to guess your age based upon the price of potato chips is a loaded question unless I'm right on or under! That said late 40's early 50's. Nevertheless you do have a good attitude and post a cornucopia of interesting things!
The rain is pouring right now--it was steady for 20min prior. Seize the week and make it yours when the humidity allows! You seem to always have encouraging words, Skippy. I would love to know that some excellent things come your way this week and make you beam!
Thanks for your Grogu post. Unfortunately I need to just look rather than buy as I love the guy! Have a great week!
Mansplaining? Kindly define 😜 Wrong question! I looked it up and could be guilty!
You are super in giving appreciation to posts-I like seeing what you and other members discover or happily find by chance on your shopping excursions or travels in your area. I try to remember that sometimes we don't all have the opportunity to roam the board to check out new threads so possible topics that affect us all will get some attention in our monthly Frugal thread and usually a thread in the related subforum. Locally, elementary school year ends today so I'm certain parents and other guardians are literally trying to make this week fun for all after the stress of online schooling. Besides, shopping online *or window shopping online* could help a member who suddenly recalls an item needed and a post jogs the action to find item ASAP. I'm glad I don't live in Burlington near Ikea--a kitchen towel spree would ensue!
Thank you for the range of topics in your posts, always much appreciated!
Thanks for your message! Unfortunately I don't receive an e-mail when someone posts a message and I'm hit or miss quite often in coming to SC Although I do like the throwback\retro,my spirit of cheapness overcomes my nostalgic tastes. So I avoid convenience stores.I'm also fortunate by having a Dollarama and No Frills within shopping distance. Have a great week my friend!
