Airmiles, Optimum, Aeroplan and HBC all in one shot... that's a thing of beauty!
Thanks for the rep! You know... when I bought those HBC gift cards with my ESSO cards, I had originally bought the ESSO gift cards at SDM during a promo points event... and I paid for the ESSO cards with my Airmiles Mastercard. So... I got Airmiles, Optimum points, Aeroplan points and HBC points. All above board and by the rules!
Thanks again! The Prince of Wales looks really interesting and I LOVE the views. I actually downloaded Alberta's tourism brochure last night and talked it over with the S/O. It think it's become our destination of choice next summer!
Just added four new pics to the "Random Pics" album on my profile page. So you can see the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton.
If you go to the "Random Pics" album on my profile page, there's a pic of Waterton Lake as seen from the Prince of Wales Hotel. It's jaw dropping. And the hotel makes me think of that old British comedy, "Fawlty Towers". It's mostly original and a little frumpy and charming and full of character. The lake view pic is what you see from the lobby windows and the dining room. If you go to Waterton Lakes, be sure to take the road to Red Rock Canyon. It's not too far and you might see that view in my profile page pic.
Thanks for letting me know -- it sounds amazing. Because of your pic, I've officially added Alberta to the short list of family vacation destinations. I know when I show the pic to my SO she'll agree. Maybe you should talk to your local tourism department and ask for a commission!
Good morning! Thanks for the compliments on my profile pic. I took it a few years ago in Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta. The light conditions were just right, even for a clunky 5 year old Sony Cybershot. Just on the left of the pic you'll see a bit of the little highway we were on. Five minutes further down the road we had to stop and watch a full grown grizzly bear eating berries just a little way up the hill. Glad he was there and not where I was to take the pic!
Thank you for the rep. And your beautiful profile picture. When it opened I just kind of stopped and looked at it wistfully for a few seconds.
