Glad to hear your Mom is getting better, and hopefully everything goes okay for your nephew. *hugs* And happy belated anniversary! 30 years is certainly something to be proud of!
My corner of the world's been a little bit of a downer/chaotic. Mom had open heart surgery several months ago but is getting better. Lost one of my best friends to a brain tumour, Lost another friend to a medication reaction. And my nephew has a brain tumour, but supposed to be operated on within 6 weeks. Crazy crazy! On the positive side, we just celebrated out 30th wedding anniversary.
Oh yeah? We love it, and I think it suits him well. How are things in your corner of the world?

I'm still around, lurking in the background lol! Life has been keeping me very busy. We just had our third child back in April, and the two older boys are out of school for the summer now. I'm already hearing complaints about being bored LOL

Ha ha! I hear you about the HEAT! We're pretty spoiled these days with AC, but when I was growing up, we were sitting in the beating sun at a race track! Kitchener's not so bad. They have great parking. I stay with a fiend who lives 1/2 hr. away, so we get conv. AND a nice visit. Been married 28 yrs. this June. Man! I feel soooooo old! Was a teen bride. You're right tho. People give up very easily. They just don't realize they'll be giving up one set of problems for another. Hollywood tells us we should be happy 24/7 and people really buy into that crap.
Oh nice, I like that area, I grew up around Huntsville area and I lived in Barrie for a year, that's where I met my husband actually. So your convention is all the way in Kitchener wow that makes it quite a drive! And oh yes, I *love* having the convention early in the summer! I can't stand when it gets really hot. It's not so bad if the convention site has air conditioning though but when I was younger we used to go to North Bay for our conventions, and there was no AC, so it got quite warm! If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been married? It'll be 7 years for me this year, 15+ is a major achievement! Especially in this system with so many just throwing in the towel over every little thing eh.
Bummer! Hoped we were closer. I'm in the Barrie area, just north of Toronto. Our conv. is in Kitchener June 13-15 which is definitely not 20 min. away. I'm sorry to hear about your DH's issues. I have to take care of my 81 yr. old mom too and somtimes the 3 days are too much as well. Really looking forward to it tho. We have our 2 day at end of Apr. in Norval at Assem. Hall which is also a drive, but I generally stay overnight with my mom in a hotel nearby to make it easier for her. (me too! love my sleep Isn't it nice to have the Conv. early in the summer? I find it makes a big difference for me. The first 15 years we were married, it always landed on our anniversary. . which was a bummer.
I'm from Morrisburg, it's about an hour from Ottawa, and we're in the Ingleside congregation. We're pretty fortunate because our convention is only a 20 minute drive from where we live, in Cornwall, our assigned one is June 1-3 but there's also another English one the week after, which is great 'cause DH has a lot of health problems so sometimes we can't go to all three days in one weekend. What about you?
