  1. Not sure if I like Ethan running into walls too much... I guess I'll be spending a lot of time soothing a crying toddler!
  2. LOL!! Wait until they're 2 years old...they start looking like all they do is run into walls.
    Hey.
They actually do run into walls....lol!!!
And tables...and off anything they climb...or run from...
  3. Here and there... Checking out deals and keeping an eye on my little one... Poor guy... He banged his head just now on our bed's headboard while I was burping him...
  4. Hi, Woofers~! Where are you??
  5. Hi, Lindi!!!
  6. Aw, Hon...you'll find her again and the girls are right: things really DO get better...this is all so new for the both of you...I hope you can get together with other SC'ers or other Moms...I have faith in YOU!!!
  7. Hi, Lynn! I am sticking to my promise to myself that I will not post anything (other than pictures) until I am ready to be more positive...

I have been a little frustrated that my postings on SC have been on the negative side... So, am not posting anymore until I find my positive self back...

    Hence the silence...
  8. We have one...it was Jack's...a veeery nice one! LOL!!
At least I think it was battery operated...yes, quite sure it was, I know our DD wouldn't want to wind anything up too often! :-D
  9. Not hiding... but am looking for a battery operated musical mobile... Tired of winding the musical mobile that Ethan loves!
  10. Hey, Woof...where are you hiding??
  11. Happy Mother's and Grandmother's Day, Lynn!

It feels strange celebrating Mother's Day as a Mother for the first time this year... Eek!

  12. Good morning, Woofy!! I hope everything continues to be well with Ethan...and you....and your hubby! Write when you can...I'm home-bound for a couple of days!
    HUGGLES...Lynn
  13. Aw, rats. I noticed that I missed you this morning! We babysat Jack today, since his day-care was closed...we're recovering nicely...

Hope to catch you tomorrow AND see those photos of Ethan! I'm so happy you're home and feeling well...I told you your DH could bring you to tears when he's with his little boy! hehehe!

    Huggles...Lynn
  14. Oh, Woof, that would have been wonderful! It would be so nice to hook up...but nooooo....YOU decided to have a baby! LOL!! Perhaps next year...;-)
I've also been working on a 'little something' for Ethan, which I'll post today...sorry it's a little late, but I haven't been myself lately...getting better, though, I think.

If you don't mind...I just read what Patty wrote about discipline and children, and I can tell you that Lindsay is the disciplinarian in their home, and Darryl tends to 'give in' more...ie..Jack wants to be picked up to go into the next room and Lindsay says, no, but we can hold hands if you want, which satisfies him. With Darryl...he'd tend to pick him up after a bit of whining. Yes...they have talked about it and he knows he has to be more strict...but Lindsay simple realizes that she's the one who'll be saying all those 'no' words and like I said...poor Jack...he won't be able to get away with anything. Which..is really a good thing. I was also like Patty. Although they never misbehaved in restaurants, if either of them decided to have a melt-down in a mall or in the car driving somewhere, I'd give one warning, then phhht! Pack 'em up and leave or turn the car around and "not to go visit Grandma and Grandpa" today. And like Patty said....it usually only took one such lesson and the message got through. The ticket is consistency! Yes, some days we're too tired or worn out to say one more 'no' word, and giving in would be so much easier, but that just leads to disaster, so consistency is the key.

Well....that's my soap-box rant for today. ;-) You're going to be fine. Just look at all you have accomplished...the strong woman you are...you three will be just fine!

    Huggles....Lynn
  15. Ah, yes...Chinese signs...Lindsay is a snake. Go figure. I heard that a very long time ago, babies who were fire snakes like her were disposed of because it was felt that they were a threat to the 'throne. I can see that.
I'm an Ox (how elegant) and Ernie's a dog...loyal, etc..all the qualities of a doggie...can't get much better than that, eh?
Our son was a tiger. 'nuff said.
    Lol!!
Have a lovely day...I might head out to our swing again today and do some reading...yesterday it was so hot out there...I even turned pink!
  16. LOL! Don't forget the pappy too! Daddy is a Saggitarius!

My mom was laughing at how all 3 of us are so different! Not only are we different in the Western astrology... even our Chinese astrological signs are in different groups!

DH is a rat, I am a rabbit, and little Ethan is a tiger... Rawr!

Hm. When I look at Lindsay and I...
    http://shine.yahoo.com/astrology/com...es&sign2=libra
....goodness, yes! That's us to a fault! LOL!! I continue to 'attempt' to show her that her way isn't the ONLY way..however..her self-motivation, her drive have certainly served her well. And yes...lol...she continues to say "Go for it, Mom!" while I have to consider all options at nauseum! LOL!!!

Looks like you and Ethan will be quite the force!
  18. LOL! Lindsay's b'day is gonna be so close to Ethan's! Well, Ethan will be having a Scorpio mommy! Good luck to both of us! Tee Hee! ROFLMAO!
  19. Oh, absolutely! Spring babies have such an easy time of it! Lindsay was born March 22nd (next week, actually...) and it was so much nicer than when our son was born, Aug 22nd...and heading into winter...
So....wait...will Ethan be an Aries, too??? Heaven help you! LOL!!!
  20. Hehehehe... I actually still don't mind him staying in there for another 2 weeks!

Yes, I am relaxing a lot, and I think I am starting to have the nesting instinct again...

You have a good day too... It's LOVELY out there... So glad Ethan is going to be a spring baby... a happy Spring baby!
  21. Hi, Woofers!
"Patiently"? Wow. I wasn't even close to patient this far along! LOL!! I hope you're relaxing more these days....this weather helps, too, doesn't it? Have a happy day, Sweetie!...Lynn
  22. How are you, Lynn?????? I am just patiently waiting for Ethan to grow more and come!

  23. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Woofy!!!
  24. LOL!

    Woof!

    Have fun shopping!
  25. Forget the basement! Sheesh! Can you just sit STILL for a day or two?!
    Sit.
    Stay.
    Good girl.

As for me...Lindsay just called to send me on a "quest" as she calls them.....evidently she's in desperate need of a plain, black 3/4length trench coat. I said, sounds good...that's your Easter present! ;-D So off I go...not too certain where, exactly...probably Ricki's, SmartSet, and other mall stores, then I'll make my way up to Winners and check the coats out there.
So off I go!! Credit card in hand....chaaarrge!!!
You, however, have a nice, quiet day.
    Huggles...Lynn
  26. LOL! If I could take on my basement, I would be a happy gal!

Just going to take it easy today... How about you? What are your plans for this lovely day? Don't we just love the sunshine?!
  27. Good morning, Woof! Just another day in paradise? Or are you going to be taking on the world again today?
  28. Aha! You're getting a taste of what it's like to be a full-time Mommy! It's a good rehearsal for you, for what's to come! But I bet the stress has decreased to the Nth degree now that your 'former' work is but a dim memory, right? Just remember: you really don't have to do everything in a single day...pace yourself, Sweetie...no one is looking over your shoulder now..
Have a wonderful week and DO please find time to put those feet up and snap your fingers for that cuppa tea! heh, heh...
  29. Lady of leisure?! I am busier than before!

Yesterday, I went to have a hair cut, get the car washed, shopped at WM, returned items to Canadian Tire, donated some baby forumla to the June Callwood center in Toronto for pregnant teens, and talked to them about volunteering there. LOL!

Like I said, how did I ever find the time to work?! Now I am making breakfast... a smoothie... then one hour of SC, and then TAXES!

    Busy, busy!
