Oh, that's good to hear! Soooo...4 more sleeps until you're outta there?! But who's counting, eh? Yes, get that desk cleared off and shimmy ... er......waddle out that door!! Have a lovely weekend, Woofy!...Lynn
Hey, Lynn. It was not as bad as I imagined! Took me only an additional 10 mins!
OMG, be careful walking, Woofy! Or....since this is late...I hope you were careful walking and that nothing happened and you stayed safe, my Friend!!
Lol...yes it is quite the story...unfortunately the direction it's taking is less than stellar. Or should I say...the direction it's not taking is disappointing...
Hi, Woofers! I bet Ethan's enjoying that lovely music...I hope you have a better week at work...and if you don't, HEY! You're outta there VERY soon and they can kiss your butt as you walk out the door! hah!
I am doing well... Listening to some soothing music now, and just enjoying Ethan's romping in my tummy!
Hm. I tried to edit my last post, but it didn't want me to. I just NOW noticed your pics of BabyWoofy!! How cute is he?!! And you look so cute, all preggers, and your hubby....rrrrowf!! What a beautiful family...
Woofy, the gumbo was very well received..and too funny, but Paul Prudhome was interviewed during the Saints' parade in NewOrleans and was asked about the food, and he said that nothing beats a good ol' Chicken/Andouille Smoked Sausage Gumbo! LOL! Exactly what I made! Oh, everyone loved it, and my cornbread and my cheddar/olive/bacon loaf. But next time I think I'll exclude the bacon...I just feel it would be neater that way..if you know what I mean, lol. Your team leader sounds like a shmuck. Self-centred much? Either he's unattached, or ... his poor wife. tsk, tsk, tsk. Yes, Honey, just keep counting those weeks...from now on, they'll fly by! Don't worry about us on here, you have you and Ethan to look after! Hugs, Sweetie!...Lynn
I know! I was about to ask you about your SuperBowl party and if your gumbo was received well. You made that gumbo sound so good, I was contemplating whether to drive to Sudbury to try it! =P LOL! I did receive the picture of Jack! He is a cutie! Sorry I didn't respond to your email. I think I am subconsciously still struggling with the changes at work, and it is impacting my overall mood. Yes, I really should try that "Hey! Pregnant lady here! Knock it off!". Especially to my team lead, though I am sure he will not get it. This is one guy who has NEVER asked me once how my pregnancy went, and he has also NEVER asked me how my prenatal appointments went! How sweet eh! =P Anyhow, 3 more weeks to go! 3 more weeks to go!
Hi, Woofy!! So busy lately with that SuperBowl party, then of course recovering from it (just tired!) that I haven't been on here much....As for work, just yell at everyone "Hey! Pregnant lady here! Knock it off!!!". That should work. I'm sure they'll be less anxious to pile work onto you after that. Did you receive the pic I sent of Jack? Anyhoo...off and pacing again...must sew snuggie for Lindsay before the summer! Take good care, Sweetie!!...Lynn Oh! I just now saw the pics of BabyWoofy! How beautiful he is!! And you look so cute all preggers and everything...lol...and you both look like such a sweet couple. What a beautiful family!!!
LOL! Not to worry... Will not hurt Ethan... Just agonizing over a very confusing crap piece of report that my team leads wants, and has difficulty in articulating, and he is expecting me to give it a stab.
Lindi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *HUGS* This is me right now!
Aww... think of it as some me time, and the rest of the week, it'll be all Darling Grandson time! Feel better fast!
Hugs! Thanks for your 2 cents'! Yes, I seem to get myself into pickles! LOL! For some reason, I encounter many different types of people! I even had a psycho "friend" last year, which completely freaked me, and a couple of my friends out! LOL! Anyhow, always learn something out of these extraordinary "encounters"! LOL! Nite, nite, Lynn!
He says "Es, pees." whenever he's asked if he wants mik, or yogi (his word for yogurt)...and even when he's asked if he had a good day at school...he says it! LOL!! And the 'pee-ing' in a potty starts when his parents get back from Cuba...now THAT should be fun! Huggles...Lynn
LOL! I am still trying to imagine a little boy saying "Es, pees!" I might mistake him for wanting to pee! LOL! You have a wonderful weekend too, Lynn! Hugs!
We get him on Tuesday morning..my hubby is driving them to the airport around 6am, so we'll just sneak in...their flight to Veradero is direct from here (with a quick pick-up in Ottawa) so thank goodness they don't have to drive to Toronto...you never know how the roads and weather will be. Thank goodness he's in day-care...omg...he never stops moving..and always takes my hand as he travels around the house...I feel I should nap now...just thinking about it exhausts me! LOL!! But he's such a good little guy...very polite...says "Es, pees.' if you ask him if he wants anything...And my hubby is just as good with him as I am, so we're a team! Have a lovely, relaxing weekend, Woofers!!....Lynn
LOL! Yes! Good to see you on here, Lynn! It's Friday! When do you get your DGS to yourself for a week?!
No worries, Woofy....write when you can...how silly of us to let a simple thing like 'life' get in the way of visiting here!
Good morning! We are at the Post Anything thread still, if you wanna just chit chat!
So...you made me cry...your thoughts about our dear fur-babies are exactly as mine are...Our Tammy is a BC/CollieX so you can imagine her sweet temperment...her 'old soul' eyes that look so deeply into ours you'd think she was trying to understand us and what we're saying. She's my life-line when I'm having a moody-blue day and she's my joy when we...when we used to play frisbee and run until we collapsed onto the grass, both exhausted. I don't want to make that horrific decision for her....it would absolutely break my heart. My family is prepared for what I'll be going through...and it won't be pretty.... I'm sorry you had to go through those experiences....This will be our last dog...last pet, really, as I haven't great affection for anything else 'in that way' although I value all life... But now you're on the adventure of a life-time!! What an incredible change you're going through....I'm so proud of our daughter as a Mom.....she continues to light up my life. As does my hubby of 39 years! LOL!! I'm really very lucky, indeed... So continue to take good care of yourself...and get all the sleep you can now....because it'll be a rarity in a few weeks! Hugs...Lynn
Nooo... not Tammy too! Nicky, my dog, had cancer too. My mom let him go because he was just bleeding a bit too much, and we don't want him to suffer. Another dog that I used to dogsit here in Toronto, Emma, the sweetest shepherd collie, also was put down because she had throat cancer. Her owners allowed me to be in the room when the vet put her down. That was the most heart wrenching experience I've ever been through. I will never forget her unconditional love towards me, even though she only stayed with me for 2 months. She always sings for me when I visit her. Even when she had no more voice, she still tried to "sing" when I visited her in her last days. Yes, Lynn... Dogs are really a little lower than angels. They bring a joy to me that is indescribable. Their unconditional love and loyalty really touch me in the depths of my soul. Okay... I am getting a little emo here now... Have fun out there. It is actually warm here in Toronto. Hope your area is just as warm! Hugs, Woofy
"Babymoon"...lol...I love it! Actually she just booked a 'surprise', all inclusive week for her and her hubby in Veradero, at the Oasis Brisas del Caribe...she called his boss and got his time off...lol...and her boss in TO said 'have a great time!' so it's a done deal. Naturally we get to babysit wee Jack at their home (our former home) for the week...thank goodness he's in day-care...we just don't have the energy of young people anymore to keep up with HIM! LOL!! As far as our sweet Tammy goes, perhaps you've read that she's dying of cancer....I could have given birth to her, she and I are so close...she's my little girl (although Ernie does all the walking and poop-scooping;-)....she was having seizures, but the Valium stopped those...so it's in her brain now from her spleen...surgery isn't possible. So we keep her warm and cozy, and she gets too many treats from me, and is still eating and functioning very well. Her vet says she's not in any pain....if I didn't know about the cancer, we'd just think that she's a very old dog (she's 14)....I pray she passes at home....the alternative is absolutely unthinkable.... Yes...dogs are only a little lower than angels, aren't they? Hope you're having a wonderful day, Woofers! Hugs...Lynn
Hehehehe... I guess I am with competition so to speak. I love Cuba too! I was there just in November, for our babymoon. The people are so friendly! The only thing that struck me was that I didn't find the people there as poor as they were described. I think too often the "richer" tourists measure the Cubans' standard of living using North American standards, thereby circulating the belief about their poor living standards. I find the people there content and happy, and it is us who tend to upset their social balance. Oops.. there I go again... going on and on... Haha! Heading to bed now to read a little to the wee one in the tummy! Chat tomorrow!
Aha! So you're with the competition, eh? Just kidding...our DD is an FP at TD Waterhouse....and the madness of RRSP season has started! But it seems she's planning a week-long get-away with her hubby...a surprise for him that she's conjuring up, to Cuba...she's been there twice and just loves it! I hope my hubby and I find the time to get there before they make peace with the americans and they infest the island! Oops. Did I just say that?! I didn't think so.... I hope you're having a restful evening with your feets up! Enjoy....Lynn
Thanks, Lynn! And yup! I am with BMO. But I am not a customer facing BMO employee. I am a project manager, working on technology projects, and doing management reporting.
What an excellent thing to do with young people, Woofy! Teaching them financial responsibility! Are you with a particular bank or financial institution?
Woofy..it's ME who tends to go on...and on...lol! And yes, absolutely you should post that on your blog...good riddance to a bad person...Karma can work quickly, can't it? I hope you're feeling well....take good care...Lindi
Hey, Lynn! Thanks for reading my blog! It's nice to know someone is reading it! I wouldn't mind sharing with people who ask, and I guess part of me, I will always be grateful to FedEx for being my first employer. I actually was treated very well as an employee of FedEx. Unfortunately, Jannie's manager was an exception. When I write, I want people to focus on the main point, which in Jannie's case, was the callousness of human nature. I think that if I introduce company's name, most people start focusing on "bashing the company", and kind of lose the point. BTW: Fred Smith forwarded my email to the highest guy in Asia Pacific, and he responded to me. Lester was also terminated after an internal investigation. I guess I should post that in my blog too. All the big companies are only as good as the people who work for them. And I try to reach out to the good in people. I ramble on too much again.
Hi, Woofy...I've been reading through your blog and read with particular interest your story of Jamie...the terminally ill employee of that 'multinational company'. What a disgraceful display from management! Never in my life have I wanted karma to smack someone in the face more than I do for lester! I hope your petition and letter to the CEO finds soft places to land....Lynn I wonder, however, why you don't name that callous company...just curious...
