I am now writing a column for an online newspaper from where I used to live in Britain.

It's not a paying gig, but hopefully it will give me valuable experience and may lead to a paying gig down the road........

I worked as a print journalist and editor in the past, and the pay was pitiful!

oh wow that's amazing, even if it's not paid it gives you opporunity to get out there.
I want to be a writer one day, but I want to write teen/ young adult stories and possibly make chidren's books with my older sister(she's an artist). So I plan on starting to do that in my spare time after I finish college.

thank you all for your kind words, I am pretty excited about it all. I am going to work on my next column tomorrow, while the idea is fresh in my head. The only downside to this, is I have to keep it under 400 words, which I am finding hard to do.
