A shot of tylenol/tempra, combined with oragel, and teething rings will save your sanity.

Check out all the tricks and try each one to see which one works for you. Trial and error. What worked for us one week did not necessarily work the next. Good luck and hang in there

I used to wet baby washcloths and put them in the freezer, my DS liked to chew on them. He got his first teeth at three months, so I feel your pain.

I gave oragel a try for myself when I was having bad wisdom tooth pain. It literally worked for two minutes and ended up numbing more of my throat then it did my gums. This is only my personal opinion, I wouldn't give my child oragel.
We did the baby washcloths....I would put an ice cube inside, use an elastic band to keep it closed and smash it with a rolling pin. It looked kind of like a lollipop and was something interesting DS could chew on because he never liked the raspberry teether (i think that's what it's called) or the teething rings.nothingfancy

I agree on the orajel, not even useful and probably not healthy. I'm not a believer in homeopathic stuff like the camelia either; some think (not saying anyone here does) that since it's 'natural' that it's not a drug that can do anything bad.
I could be wrong, but in much of Canada I don't think they're regulated, don't think they need to prove anything to Health Canada on their claims.
