Myself I learn some new thing about stamp in the past few weeks and I would like to share a little bit with other SCer about this.
Of course we have the "P" stamp (permanent stamp) and the stamp with amount wrote on...
After that we have business stamp. There is differents kind of business stamp...
Who have a small business probably know this one printed in red or in black sometime. This printed stamp have:
a security code
a printed time HHMMSS
a meter number
an item counter
a print date MMDD
and a postal code mailing date
And there is also the business stamp already printed on envelope. The one used by company like Bell, IBM, gouvernment, etc to let you paid your invoiced by returning a cheque or use by those company to send you the bill or other info and advertise. This stamp is good ONLY if it is a part of the original envelope. That kind of stamp cannot be printed, cut and glued on other envelope. This is a fraudulent and illegal use. And yes, Canada Post will return the envelope to you with a return to sender notice if you put a return addy because this is an invalid stamp and illegal use. And yes, the envelope will be lost in CP if there is no return address on the envelope.

yep... I never notice before.
But with my generosity in coupon bundle for stackable I filled a "SASE" (self adressed stamped envelope) envie too big for the CP slot system. Unfortunatly, I also put my return addy on the envelope... But since the beggining I was suspicious with the "business stamp".

What do the 1.25 look like? My postal guy is getting fed up of me buying .07 variation stamps (He usually doesn't have any .02 for the .05, so I need .05 and 2 .01's) ontop of the 2 stamps. He told me to get these or ask for these

Thanks for the info
There was another great post a while back about how to properly address an envelope - that would be helpful to traders as well. I have been looking for the thread but cannot find it.

I don't have a link to the thread, but this information is on Canada Post's web site: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/pers...addressing.jsf
Another tip for traders - remember to include your username on the envelope or on a note inside it~ Trade List ~ Let's Trade! ~ Wish List ~

As Jeniana's image, include your postal code beside City/Prov so the computer can read it - if you put it on a new line the computer doesn't read it and it gets separated for sorting by hand increasing the chances of it going astray and delaying it
