At least we're having a girl...

Its been a long week for me, and I really just needed to get it out, not expecting any kind of response at all. Just need to have a safe place to voice it all after being so strong for my family all week. I've spent so long this week pretending its okay.. I just felt like I needed a place where it was safe to be the weak one for a few minutes..

This week just started terrible. On Tuesday I got a phone call from my doctor saying that my blood work was back and I needed to go to the hospital asap because it was potentially life threatening. (Some of you already know that this pregnancy has been not so great on my body. Baby is staying healthy this far but my body seems to be falling apart. First thyroid issues, then blood pressure, then gallstones, and now this. So I was terrified. Get to the hospital, have a huge wait, lots of tests. My levels dropped so they sent me home but if I have an extended gallstone attack or my temperature raises at all I have to go back immediately to see a surgeon. So not great in itself.

Later that night my father gets rushed to the hospital and put in for emergency surgery on a terrible infection in his foot. We were worried he may even lose it. The infection is still touch and go now, and I'm spending alot more time in the hospital than I'd like to but.. He's my daddy so I do what I can.

Then I find out my hubby's hours at work are being cut back...
Which is mild compared to the rest but still a stress this close to Christmas and with all my medication needs right now.

But in the midst of my hell week I did have an ultrasound and they think we're having a girl.. So that brought a little smile to my face.

Wanted to end with the good news.

Thanks. I know its quite a bit. Because all I've wanted to do since it started is sleep. The stress is exhausting me.

Definitely catch up on your sleep. A lot of things are easier to deal with on a good night's rest. Take care of yourself and congratulations on your new baby girl!!

Try a trick that I learned, and give yourself a minute once in a while to think about a pool of calmess surrounding you.....A nice, warm, blue, tropical pool of calmness carressing and surrounding you and your baby.
