I see they are advertising because they are short. I needed blood last year after almost dying having my DD. Without the blood I wouldn't be here to tell you, please donate. You can save someone's life!

I wish I could. They won't let me give anymore. I used to give once or twice a year but I used to almost faint everytime I gave and a nurse told me I shouldn't give if this happens every time.

I wish I could, They won't let me since I have MS, I don't understand why since it is not a blood disease.

I don't think they really want my blood. I'm type B and the vast majority of people in Canada are O or A and would react to my blood. Others in my family also donate but they are type O...if the bloodsuckers called, they always wanted to ask in the type O's in the family not me. Yeah I was a bit disappointed. dh is AB so his blood type is pretty uncommon and not suitable for types O, A, or B. I think donating blood is awesome but we're a little left out.

I think you should go in and talk to them and not listen to the people on the phone. I gave blood two weeks ago and was told they need blood of all types.

They never let me either.....my iron levels were always really low. I tried a few times in highschool......and after college.....no dice.

They accept ALL blood types! I'm a regular donor who's on a hiatus due to pregnancy. I donate 6 times/year and at only 28 years old am already at 30 donations! The first time I ever donated I made it my personal goal to reach 100 donations. Slowly but surely I will make it!
