Did they give you a name of a good cream to use for the burns? Be sure to ask your Oncologist for one if not. Glad you are enjoying time with your hubby.

Cancer sure is lousy & it throws you for the loop of your life,
A companion that is constant & consistent with lending strife,
It encompasses & consumes, therefore you must try & give it an oust,
Granting you the upper hand as you arm yourself for the joust,
Up days, down days, even feeble days that infirm you to rest,
I close my eyes & envision my tumours turning into dust,
You all know that sarcomas & cancers are weasels you cannot trust,
You have to be a servant to your soul & keep your self-talk soothing,
You can always count on days when you can set your dial to grooving,
My master plan is simple & I truly think it is consolatory.
I guess you know I've spelled it out as it is an ever-ongoing story,
To all you dear people who are enduring this diabolical & hellish fiend,
Can we try to knock it far away, *it* can consider itself beaned,
Keep the faith & lean on family & friends & even do the journal thing,
Go away you damn cancer , you sure don’t have any bling!

I think I used Aveeno cream. It was a nice lotion that did give relief. I had 33 radiatin treatments at the end of 2012. The beams got me & did some zapping. Hard to lie down on my stomach, basically face down & buns up & bare. It got hard to sit comfortably, so a good cream was important. Good luck.

Aveeno is good, this is what I used (pictured below) I got this size at Costco, it is non perfumed and hypoallergenic. I literally slathered it it on my burns but I came into the game late for putting cream on. Like right at the end, and you should be moisturizing throughout radiation. NO ONE told me that! A nice cool cream feels sooooo nice on your burns though and helps you heal a lot faster. Once I started using a cream my burns seemed to clear up what seemed like instantly. I'm glad you're feeling better enough to be traveling with your hubby. Enjoy.

It is true to say that Cancer sometimes wears you down in more ways than one,
It is always there with you & can be the *thing* that is ruining your fun,
Stiff upper lip & be positive & strong,
Wouldn't it be better if this incongruent would just move along?
Sometimes I find myself about 20 stops past being annoyed,
I am keeping my winning attitude up front & deployed,
One must let that the bad times be expressed to conjure up the good,
There are no rules about just how you should,
It always works out & the angst always passes into a better frame of mind,
It’s just that cancer sure isn't fair & so far from being kind.Last edited by SillyLoocie; Sat, Apr 4th, 2015 at 01:25 PM.

I am now an unemployed bum!
I quit my job at Winners last week. My husband and I have decided that life is too short and I am spending time with him and our daughters. I really didn't want to quit but this is best for everyone.Last edited by Horndogg; Fri, Apr 10th, 2015 at 02:19 PM.
